I really like the PC Blue Menu Supergrains Oatmeal. There are 8 packets in the box. I like to have a packet for breakfast, but also it makes a nice side dish for dinner. For dinner, I like to mix in a spoonful of pesto or salsa. Really good!
We need more grocery hauls! Don’t know why, but I love watching grocery hauls as I’m from Denmark, overseas, and you guys have so much to offer that we don’t! Really interesting!
Hi Mama Tenny, We buy a lot of the same things. I buy plain greek yogurt, 2 large containers, Good Culture cottage cheese, Premier vanilla shakes, I use for my coffee creamer. Eggs and more eggs, oatmeal and Butterball Turkey Sausage. Sounds boring but those are my constant buys. That was fun. Thank you 💖
Ohh I feel like you took my shopping list and showed what I buy! I am 100% there with you on the fruit and flavoured yoghurt. Will never buy those. Always the plain Greek. And oats! My absolute favourite food ever. Butter....ummm no thanks. I like peanut butter but prefer the almond butter. Dried fruit....god no! Seriously how can people think those are healthy. Mustard is so flavourful for so little calories. It's genius. We don't have that popcorn in Australia but I wish we did. Our popcorn has more calories. I love Pineapple sparkling water, so good! Did I see a watermelon one!? Flaxseed meal and Chia. Absolutely love those. The wraps and bread look pretty good. Berries!!!! Yes! Strawberries and Blackberries and Raspberries. So much good food there Mama Tenny. Your information will help so many 😊♥️
That's an awesome list you have there! I like sweet potatoes, big bags of broc and mix veggies, potatoes, bags of chicken breasts, swai fish...... Instant potatoes and I load my cupboard with all kinds of spices and cook everything with olive oil. I'm a farm to table kinda guy. Yes very boring but most people want to know why I look good at my age. I'm only 211 years old but can still take the mail man!
I usually microwave my old fashioned oats, which makes them almost as convenient as quick cook but with more texture. I do love me some steel cut oats, though that’s kind of an indulgence time-wise. I don’t do the big bulk thing because it never tastes quite as good as fresh.
Our grocery shopping is almost identical! I absolutely love your idea of adding shallots and other seasonings to store-bought salad dressing. You are so right those Craisins are just downright crai-zy!
I go through a lot of broccoli, sweet potatoes, tahini, and instant brown rice. Plus most of the things you do, which makes me feel I am in the right track if you eat it.
Love nonfat Greek yogurt. I have about 120 grams everyday before I workout. I top mine with 6 grams of Trader Joe’s high protein pnb granola and 10 grams of honey! It’s the best combo of carbs & protein. Never makes me bloated, gives me so much energy during my resistance training sessions. Love these videos Mama T!
Our diets are largely the same but my shopping is different because I'm an overachiever/glutton for punishment and like to make everything--so I buy milk to make the yogurt, flour to make the bread, nuts to make the nut butters, etc. And I've recently found that I far prefer thawed frozen berries to fresh berries (unless I'm picking them off the bush myself) because they're just way more flavorful.
Ok Susannah, I’m just going to go into a corner and cry! I could never do all of that!!! Kudos to you, that is friggin amazing!! Maybe you should start a channel ! 🤔 😍🙌🏼
Hi Mama Tenny, really enjoyed this video. I am a Canadian who no longer lives in Canada and I am often very homesick but watching your videos especially this one feels like I have a slice of home with me. I have always loved grocery shopping and watching you shop around superstore brought back so many fond memories. Great and informative video ❤
This was fun to watch Nancy. I buy a lot of the same things and plan to try white balsamic vinegar and the protein wraps. But we definitely use grass fed butter in this house, as well as grass fed beef.. but sparingly. 😁 Can’t wait to try adding flax seed and chias to my next batch of meatballs!
You’ve got to get those wraps Adele, they are just great and I buy them all the time. My husband LOVES steak so we do have that as well.. maybe not as often as he’d like 😂
It's interesting because this looks exactly like my groceries when I was living in Hungary (except the Greek yogurt, I couldn't find that one there at all, but they had turos 1% fat (like quark cheese, perfect for cheesecakes). And I would just get normal non sweetened yogurt. But now that I came back to Mexico, I go to the local market. I buy all the fruits I was not able to enjoy in the 8 years I spent in Europe (mango, prickly pear, zapote, guava, papaya, etc...), all so fresh and cheap! I buy sooo many vegetables, specially broccoli, chayote, Zucchini, red bell pepper... Meatwise, turkey meat is so expensive. I usually combine ground chicken breast with ground beef, rabbit, lean cuts of pork, but also pork feet and pork skin sometimes for pozole (Mexican dish). Lots of dried chillies to make adobos and sauses. And in the supermarkets I always get the Greek yogurt and egg whites. Then I love going to the foreign stores to buy Asian and Indian spices. My love for ethnic foods is what keeps me not so lean. I'm always trying the national dish of a different country. Changing a few things to make it healthier and lower the calories tho.
Hi Cherry, it sounds like you have incredible variety in your diet, amazing!! We were just in Italy and missed the variety of fresh fruits as well. I don’t know chayote! Maybe not in Canada or maybe I’ve seen it but don’t know what to do with it?🤷🏼♀️😂 Thanks for watching😘
I'm with you on most things, but I do buy butter, lean ground beef, and Craisens. I don't usually bottled salad dressings, and I never buy microwave popcorn. I can't eat the breads unless gluten-free, but my favorite right now is the O'Dough's GF brand. I am going to look for that "sweet heat" mustard. That sounds good! Other proteins on our rotation is the 3# Butterball boneless turkey roasts, boneless/skinless chicken thighs, flat iron steaks, and fish/salmon. For carbs we grow our own veggies/potatoes, and we like rice. One yummy new find is a jar of chocolate "Better'n Peanut Butter." It is made with defatted peanut butter powder and has 2 grams sugar. Spread on some chocolate rice cakes - yum!
Great staples here! I'm unfortunately lactose and gluten intolerant, so I have to skip out on some of the goodies, like Greek yogurt and cottage cheese (even "lactose free" dairy messes with me) but everything else looks like what I grab on my grocery trips!👏🏻💯🙌🏻
I buy cranberries in season, and freeze them. I don’t buy them dried. In fact, I don’t buy any dried fruit. I’m extremely sensitive to carbohydrates, and I buy raisins and butter only to make my dad cookies. Thank you for the video! I agree, Greek yogurt, with its higher protein is much better.
I much prefer the fresh cranberries too Heather and they freeze perfectly!! I don’t buy dried fruit either, if I bought a bag of the dried mangoes they are hard to resist but the suger is off the charts! 📈 Lucky Dad having a personal baker 👩🏼🍳😘🍪
Try dry cranberries (craisins) that have no sugar added. I get them from Whole Foods. They are amazing in a kale goat cheese salad. Forget the Ocean Spray ones.
These are 365 brand organic unsweetened. They have the sweetened 365 that naturally cost way less it's bananas like 7 bucks vs 12 for the unsweetened. Love ur videos 😘

I don’t think I’m as consistent as you are, but I buy most of those items. I need to get back in the habit of making overnight oats to get my Greek yogurt, flax and chia in. I will try the white balsamic if the opportunity arises. Great video!!!

Hi lovely lady! No Waterloo here unfortunately! I assume that’s the mid-week cocktail, to go on the spreadsheet as alcohol free 🤣🍍 All good, can’t believe it’s November!!! Best to you ❤️
Hi Momma T! I've been on a modified, carnivore-based diet for around 50 days. My current staples include: angus sirloin steaks, ground beef, boneless pork chops, free range eggs, cheese, honey, white rice, bacon, shrimp, and salmon. I also keep stocked up on Benefiber (need that fiber!), electrolytes powder, lemon juice, and salt. Eventually, I will try to incorporate fruits. This diet has healed my ulcerative colitis, which I suffered from for eight long years. I'm thinking roughage is the main culprit...salads always seemed to upset my stomach.
I’m so happy that you’ve managed to cure your ulcerative colitis! My step father suffered horribly for many years with it but he would not alter his diet! His dr said it didn’t have an effect!!🤔
@@MamaTenny I have noticed that (many) medical professionals dismiss the idea that our diets can heal or harm us. I don't understand, why they won't even consider diet as an option. Food is literally our fuel!
I buy a lot of Butternut squash and pumpkin it's delicious and cheap this time of year. Can you please give us more ideas on how to incorporate flaxseed and chia seeds because I know it's important to be hydrated, especially the chia seeds, but I don't really like chia puddings.
if you make protein smoothies, you can add flax and chia seeds. You cannot taste them in the smoothie. Other option would be using them as salad or yoghurt toppings. You can add them to a baking batch (bread, muffin, almond cake, etc.). Due to these seeds are high in fiber, you need to drink a bit more than usual, otherwise everything will just sit in your gut. If you increase your fiber intake too quickly, you might get bloated but it's just an adaptation period and it will get better in 2 weeks.
Hi Carmen, like the other response, I tend to just sprinkle it on a lot of things, no specific recipes. Once you have it it’s so simple to just add a bit here and there. Thanks for watching!
Yes, yes and yes!! I love mustard! (Though I have to say that the Subway salad that Will and I tasted a few videos ago and they gave just mustard as the dressing …. That was pretty blah! )
Absolutely love the grocery hauls. My fav late night sweet snack is cottage cheese with pistachios, strawberries, cinnamon and some sugar free maple syrup :)
Do you sweeten your greek yogurt at all? I grew up on flavored yogurts and am trying to wean myself off of them! Right now I mix half 0% vanilla and half 0% unflavored greek yogurts. Love your staples!
Honestly Lilly it’s just one of those things that once you have it enough, you prefer it like that! Years ago I used to have sugar in my tea and now I can’t drink it like that! But half vanilla and half plain seems like a great idea. I always watch my sugar because my dad and brother both had type II diabetes. ❤

I sent my mom your mayo video.. now the jar lives next to the shampoo bottles.. mom still loves mayo.. but for superficial use only.. she has lost a considerable amount of weight since then..and thats the only thing she really changed in her diet..
Oh yes Virginia! I do have that sometimes especially for dipping fruit or as a topping but I LOVE real peanut butter! It’s my fat of choice cuz we do need that too!😘
Oh that’s a brilliant bread crumb swap! I’m meat and dairy free so my cart looks a little bit different than yours- but we basically have the same plan- nutritious but filling food and maybe a dark chocolate bar gets thrown in
@@MamaTenny nope its a brand new product called ninja creami ice cream machine and the difference is that you can easily add toppings and no more going to halo top ice cream which is expensive
I make pudding for 2 nights. 60g ground rice, 20g cocoa and sweetener of choice. Approx 1L of boiling water added slowly until thickened. You can eat it hot but I prefer to cool it, add protein powder and blend until smooth (it has a slightly grainy texture that gives me a primary school reminder) 😂 then chill in fridge. Makes 2 voluminous pudds. I top them with a bit of Greek yoghurt and fruit.
Oh .. but you need lots of fats in your diet to have healthy skin.. No!!! You need moisturizer The only place oil belongs is on my bicycle chain.. Dont use lubricants to cook
Don’t worry! I eat nuts on top of the low fat yogurt, lots of peanut/almond butter and olive oil. I’m definitely not going to miss out on the fats, I agree, we NEED them! Thx for watching!❤️

We eat a lot of eggs. Good fact to know: brown eggs are not any more nutritious than white eggs, although they market them that way. Save your money!
Hi Kris, yes, I think the brown ones just come from brown hens! 🍳🥚🐓
We need fat for nerve and brain health. No sugar is super good way to go. Yes on butter.
Oh that’s a brilliant bread crumb swap! I’m meat and dairy free so my cart looks a little bit different than yours- but we basically have the same plan- nutritious but filling food and maybe a dark chocolate bar gets thrown in
Lol, love it! Gotta throw in the things you love otherwise how would we keep being fabulous??😂🍫
You definitely need to get ninja creami ice cream machine from Wal-Mart since its on sale.
Is that just a ninja blender? I’ve got one (which I got on sale too!😘) And I’ve never made the protein ice cream 🤣
@@MamaTenny nope its a brand new product called ninja creami ice cream machine and the difference is that you can easily add toppings and no more going to halo top ice cream which is expensive
Teach me Mamma T
😂🤣 we’re here for each other Priscilla!❤
My favourite things atm are ground rice, frozen cherries and edamame.
Ground rice?? Tell me more! What do you do with it? Frozen or in the rice aisle? I’ve never seen that though I’ve seen rice flour. I’m intrigued!
I top them with a bit of Greek yoghurt and fruit.
am i the only person in the fitness world who doesn't eat zero greek yogurt because i feel so cold? seriously how do you do it?😂😂
Maybe try adding it to your oatmeal?? Then a little hot mixed with a little cold?🤷🏼♀️ Or… wear a parka!🤣
@@MamaTenny 🤣🤣
oatmeal is my favorite, I think it would be great
Is there anything more canadian than Celine Dion in the background
@@delagonz4295 she’s right up there!🇨🇦❤️
Thanks for posting is faker a word?
Did I say faker? About what, I’m confused 😂
Ok, nvm, I remember now, the peanut butter!!! You’re right, is it “faker” lol!! I suppose I meant, not as natural?🤷🏼♀️🤣
Oh .. but you need lots of fats in your diet to have healthy skin..
No!!! You need moisturizer
The only place oil belongs is on my bicycle chain..
Dont use lubricants to cook
Please don’t buy the low-fat yogurt . It is so bad for you. You need the fat for a healthy bird , brain etc.
Don’t worry! I eat nuts on top of the low fat yogurt, lots of peanut/almond butter and olive oil. I’m definitely not going to miss out on the fats, I agree, we NEED them! Thx for watching!❤️
