I think this should be said, MTF are the equivalent of Emergency Response, Aka there job overall is to be specialized response squads with Nu-7 = Combat Support (Assists RRT & SD with CI/CD Related issues) B-7 (Responds to Outbreaks and or testing on SCP-008 or SCP-409) E-11 (General ReContainment of SCPs such as 457, 049, 966, 023, 173, And 096) A-1 (Specialized Body Guards for the O5 Command) For those who say there job is to guard S3 Game mechanics wise it could be implied since that's where they spawn but reality is SD the actual Security should be doing most of the guarding while RRT is well Rapid Response & Nu-7 are Combat support for them. The rest probably excluding B-7 (Since they could be sent to guard SCP-008 or SCP-409) Don't really guard. Ye, once I was in scp rp, and the Sd kept shooting d classes for no reason, and literally shot me when I was RRT. And he literally tried to shoot in O5, but then I told me O5 friend that he was abusing d classes so he got cuffed

In most servers I think the CI don't know that you have spawn protection or they are just being idiots and staying there. Although Sector 3 is just to your left from your spawn, that is a possible reason they are very nearby and staying around there.

RRT used to have mtf's ability and was useful, i started grinding for it. Then the map revamp update comes and it all goes to hell.
