  • I Didn't realize on my first video all of it was not on RUclips. Here is the full
version of my switch to Lithium Iron Phosphate Batteries. We have mowed about three times with over a Arce of grass with no problems. These batteries should outlast the mower. I personally am switching any lead acid battery I have that dies to Lithium Ion or Lithium Iron Phosphate in the future.
Since the winter conditions here in North Dakota are so server, LifEPO4 cannot be used in all applications.
Our next mower will be an electric Zero Turn Mower.

Take a photo of the way it is wired, the only thing I changed is add a positive and negative welding cable on top of the of the top battery terminals of front battery. I happened to have a spare Anderson connector that I installed on the only two wires I added! I cut the clamps off of the Signature Solar 48 volt LFP charger and installed the mate of the Anderson connector.

Looks Like you know alot about Electrical wiring but why you didnt use EZGO charger which is lithium battery charger for Golf Carts and use exact same plug. You dont need to Alter any of the wirings. I convert mine and kept it original wiring and using Golf charger but want to change to yours if im missing anything Charging wise or there is something in Ryobi original wiring that does not support Lithium batteries or Charging port. So far mine charging just fine.

Actually I’ve had very good luck with the many chargers I have purchased from Signature Solar, it was not a big deal to bypass the internal plug and add a Anderson connector to the 48 volt system.

Look at Rob the Engineer's Ryobi lithium-ion conversion to see how to use the original charging port

The 3 one is nothing. Outlet is positive and negative.
