Gr8 info....But..........if I can add my 2 cents worth...If you know the chain is too long U should use more of it up when anchoring the end on drivers side as this prevents trouble with loose chain falling off tray and running over it or dragging it down the road...A ratchet dog has no feel to the tension and can easy damage cargo by squashing under the chain.....But..WaddaEyeKno..LOL
Don't they sell gloves across the pond? I don't even pull my chains out of the rack without gloves. Have half a finger missing before I learned my lesson.
Hate those ratchets. Been driving for 35 years and do not trust them. Ok when dry but almost impossible to grip in the wet. Only ever seen them once in our yard now the boss only buys the older dogs.
Nice, securing wood pallets with a chain. SHIT FOR BRAINS!!!!!! One or two straps would have been more than enough to secure the pallets. Plus, don't use gloves, LMFAO
@@JBullock54 Well, replying after 4 years is a stretch, but here it goes. When you do a demonstration, it is expected that the demonstration is valid and accurate so it comports with what you want to explain. He used INCORRECT lashing equipment to secure a weaker load. Apart from the wrong application, the mere fact that he is not using gloves tells me that he is an old school guy. No sense of PPE.

Why use a chain on six pallets?. Those ratchets seem tedious to use.
