I'm astounded that you got to the point you did! I commend YOU and OCLP have gotten THIS far in less than a day after WWDC! Well done! I'm watching you right now on yet another 2015 MBP that I got for FREE from a lovely person who was grateful for my help in getting a number of old MBPs running again. This MBP I'm on right now is running Garadu; I JUST tried it for the first time on this machine. Like you...I find tinkering with this old Apple stuff fascinating. Please take care and much aloha to you.
That’s a big risk man, the open core legacy patcher people said it’s not supported yet Your a legend for risking a bricked device for our entertainment
You really can’t brick it you could just wipe it and reinstall everything. I didn’t have anything important on it. That’s the reason why I chose that system.
@@HrutkayMods Ten years before hand? Those models are obsolete. They update once a year. Apple needs to allow for older models to be handled with the same care as newer models. Wishing is great. My 2011 did not last more than 3 years. GPU issue,
Great to see it's working well enough without GPU acceleration this early! Perhaps a MacBook Air of the time would be easier, as the max resolution is the native resolution.
Yeah, the point was to show that it was possible to install it not make it work right it’s still a good video because that shows that hopefully it won’t be that hard to patch
Yeah it was “refurbished” a.k.a. I don’t know what the hell they did to it because other than having warranty sticker on it, it is filthy. Even if they did repaste it, I’m redoing it. Also the i7 in such a skinny thin case it just has really poor cooling to begin with.
I mean, anytime you’re extending the life of a product that they stop selling eons ago. It’s understandable that they’ll be a little upset. They would rather you throw it away and buy a new one.
not even sleep issues? I'm having black screen hanging on wake on my mbp 15 2015 + random complete freezes now . THis bug come wakeup after sleep running cursor i can't even login Everytime i shutdown completely turn off and turn on . any fix for this plz should i install post root patch inside safe mode also or not is it necessary ?
According to dosdude1 last night, the oldest system they have tried is an ivy bridge system a.k.a. 2012 Mac it might work and it might not and it’s really not worth trying yet since the patches don’t work.

Aloha, thank you Jim. I wish I could get them for free. Lol
Always good to get a perspective from a tech enthusiast who's into what he's doing!
Thank you Darren 😁
Wow, already haha. So cool seeing it run so soon after the beta comes out, excited to see how it ends up in the future

Im so happy you can get the newer stuff on them. Intel from back in the days is still reliable enough.
Yes it’s incredible. How well Intel CPUs have stood the test of time compared to just about 10 years beforehand.

It’s times like this I wish I had one of those MacBook Airs just to see if it really would’ve worked totally fine
@@HrutkayMods I've got the very last 11-inch I7 model if you'd be interested in any trades.
Display resolution means nothing to me lol
Oh, those are your finger prints, not mine.
Yeah, the retina glass is a pain to clean and I haven’t even touched the system. It’s exactly the way I got it from eBay.
Its not supported yet. Even wifi is not working

Did this on my 2017 MacBook Pro but like you said can’t patch anything
Just give it a little bit more time they’ll finally have the patches out
