The all new MX-30 is Mazda's first electric vehicle and is a bit of a Frankenstein creation between a 35.5 kWh Lithium-Ion battery pack and their beloved Mazda 3 hatchback.
It's not a mishmash of looks, but of parts. The unfortunate result however, unlike with our old friend Frank - because Mazda's creation is handsome and works well - is it just doesn't work for very long. With only 160km (100miles) worth of range this vehicle is truly great if you don’t need to leave town.
But one thing is for certain, Mazda knows what they are doing and they do it well! They make a very premium, easy to live with vehicle that is fun to drive, so I'm also certain the exciting new MX-30 will be no different!
We take a look at the facts(ish), feels and final thoughts of the 2023 Mazda MX-30 GT EV.

In Denmark this cost 35.930 CAD in basic trim. I'm getting mine MX-30 in 6 days. My first EV and perfect to my needs. Thanks for this video!

Thanks for the kind words. Interesting on the price comparison. Congratulations. It was definitely a fun classic Mazda driving vehicle and I was grateful for the experience.

I'm the owner of a 2023 Mazda MX-30 GS as my first EV because I like the look & finish and the way it handles. Price wise, it's pretty good as Mazda offers a 4000$ rebate and another 12000$ in rebates from the federal & provincial governments. I have to say I use it as a second vehicle to do all my shopping/groceries/meetings etc... all within 40 km from my house and I won't use it during winter time (October 31 to may 01). I understand the range is said to be 160 km but I've done more than 180 km on rural roads & city roads and it was showing15% left! But if you're looking for a primary vehicle for all year around, you should consider an EV with a 360 km minimum range knowing that in winter time when it's really cold (-20c +), you'll be using "heating/heated seats/heated streering etc..." which will have a negative impact on the range (minus 40% +) and it will take longer to charge. 😊

No problem! I had a lot of fun. If you are needing a tone of range (which most aren't) it really is a true Mazda! Great handling and great looking. Congratulations!

What exterior color is this? I like this color very much but unsure what this color is?

I believe Mazda calls it Zircon Sand Metallic:). It does look great in real life.
