For some reason explosions aim for your feet.. that's why players place a block before blowing up beds and that's why crystals only do damage if you're on the same level as it.
some quick mechanical explanations for this episode's little quirks (spoilers i guess): -explosions mostly damage the lower half of the player. if the lower half is protected by a block, damage will be negated. this is commonly used in advanced play like end crystal pvp -things that bounce on leads don't lose their downward momentum and just keep building it up over time. a few bounces on the end of a lead is equivalent to having fallen from a high height and will kill if left unchecked. solution: water or slime blocks in the landing zone
“Bait creeper into scar,” My first thought was just “isn’t that how they ended up working together in 3rd life? Baiting a creeper to scar?” And I started laughing
16:14 y'know, this part really reminded me how in a lot of animes, whenever a character (protag or antag) starts explaining a plan in full detail with no cuts on how they will win, it 99% means they will actually lose.
I honestly didn't think glazed terracotta COULD look good in a build minus maybe a floor/ceiling pattern, but I think you may have proved me wrong! That wall blends it quite well.
about the creeper thing, explosion damage is calculated by drawing lines from the explosion to your feet and so because there was a block none of lines hit your feet so you took no damage, if there was no block or it was a glass block by their head they would die.
@@Lay-Z_Studios with 5e, I would start with buying the Player’s Handbook and quickly searching up some RUclips videos. D&D creators are really helpful. D&D Beyond is a useful source as well. I would strongly suggest playing in someone else’s game before trying DM’ing.
I believe why the charged creeper did not do any damage is because when an explosive goes off your hit box for explosions is at your feet. So when a block is in place at your feet it negates most damage.
Deciding to stop making weekly videos actually made him more regular. Goes to show that when you alleviate the pressure and take it easy, ultimately it makes you more productive.

The new section on the base looks great! I think the fact that it’s square adds to the overall design because it introduces a bit of difference while still keeping a similar colour palette :)
about the charged creeper: Explosions in Minecraft deal most of the damage to the bottom part of the hitbox (it works just like the end crystal duel in Season 8). Meaning the Stone block completely protected Scar
If I recall correctly, I believe mumbo discovered that you don't take damage from explosions if it doesn't hit your feet while using end crystals last season

@@alcorthewise3512 same difference type stuff. same idea, different execution.
For some reason explosions aim for your feet.. that's why players place a block before blowing up beds and that's why crystals only do damage if you're on the same level as it.
some quick mechanical explanations for this episode's little quirks (spoilers i guess):
-explosions mostly damage the lower half of the player. if the lower half is protected by a block, damage will be negated. this is commonly used in advanced play like end crystal pvp
-things that bounce on leads don't lose their downward momentum and just keep building it up over time. a few bounces on the end of a lead is equivalent to having fallen from a high height and will kill if left unchecked. solution: water or slime blocks in the landing zone
You might not start a resistance but nothing is stopping you from joining a resistance
“Oi mate… ya wanna start a resistance for me?.. Mate just do a lil resisting K mate… please mate just gizza a lil resistance…”

Time to talk to Impulse...
“Bait creeper into scar,”
My first thought was just “isn’t that how they ended up working together in 3rd life? Baiting a creeper to scar?” And I started laughing
wait when? l forgot
@@christinmoon823 in 3rd life episode one. Grian brought a creeper to the crowd and scar was the only one that died
@@BountiedFish oh thanks l'm gonna go watch it again
Same
16:14 y'know, this part really reminded me how in a lot of animes, whenever a character (protag or antag) starts explaining a plan in full detail with no cuts on how they will win, it 99% means they will actually lose.
Grian's reaction to Doc's flag was amazing.
This reminds me of season 8 when Scar brought a charged creeper to Grian’s shop in Midnight Alley, but now it’s Grian bringing one to scar’s base.
It goes in a full circle
I'm surprised Grian hasn't just renamed an emerald to make a counterfeit royal emerald
He says he wouldn't use the emeralds, as it would make him a hypocrite
@@game_mations3807 Better yet, replace the Crastle's Diamonds with Emerald Blocks
@@uzunaruMelonness The Crastle's diamonds were stolen, but if they ever come back that'd be a good idea!
Grian may not want to start a resistance, but there is one man this server needs. 🐔
POULTRY MAN!!!
YES!
THE GREAT RETURN
Grian is the definition of CHAOTIC NEUTRAL this season

@@Lay-Z_Studios with 5e, I would start with buying the Player’s Handbook and quickly searching up some RUclips videos. D&D creators are really helpful. D&D Beyond is a useful source as well. I would strongly suggest playing in someone else’s game before trying DM’ing.
@@zxwhitcomb Hmm ok, I don’t have many friends that enjoy or have heard of the game? Is there online campaigns?
Creeper only damage your legs so if your legs are armoured and behind a block, then a creeper is gonna do nothing

Yeah I swear he's uploading more often now despite claiming that it's going to be less regular
@@Smitology YEAH
@RazerXP don't pay any attention to the fake Grian in the comments, just a scammer
You should flood the market with counterfeit Royal Emeralds, causing the value of Royal Emeralds to plummet
i actually really like the squareness of the top-right part if that part of the base. not just because it looks good, but also because of its position; it almost serves as a transition between the Neo-Classical and the Medieval area, which i think could tie it all together EVEN better!! keep up the good work, Grain! xP))
Scam^
The new section on the base looks great! I think the fact that it’s square adds to the overall design because it introduces a bit of difference while still keeping a similar colour palette :)
You know…. Joining a resistance is different from staring a resistance.
Or an independent nation that happens to be next door.
This is what mumbo discovered last season, if ur feet are covered before an explosion happens u take basically no damage
Little late but had a few ideas:
Double (Generate again and combine both generations)
Cat
Egg
Revolt
Cocoa
Temple
Betray
Suspect
Employ
Pit
explosion damage is dealt on the bottom part of a player/mob, so the block at the feet negates it
The generator should add “Goat”, “Therapy”, and “C R I M E”
about the charged creeper: Explosions in Minecraft deal most of the damage to the bottom part of the hitbox (it works just like the end crystal duel in Season 8). Meaning the Stone block completely protected Scar
fit mc viewer spotted
Not all explosions deal damage to legs according to mumbo, is there a specific rule to this?
thats exactly what i said in my comment!
Imagine if Grumbot spewed up these three papers:
Revolution
Grian
Start
If I recall correctly, I believe mumbo discovered that you don't take damage from explosions if it doesn't hit your feet while using end crystals last season
