Your unit is a Sure-Lites AA-1 and what sets it apart from a standard LM-1 or CC-2 light is that the latter two come with 6V 5.4W incandescent lamps, but your AA-1 light comes with brighter 6V 9W lamps, which are why it takes a 6V 6.5 Ah SLA instead of a regular 4 Ah SLA. Also, you can use a 6V 7ah because Ah is capacity, and exceeding capacity will not hurt the emergency light. exceeding voltage does, so don't use a 12-volt battery. and even then, it's only an extra half amp-hour, so it's meaningless. just get a new battery, and you should be good to go.
i have an elm 2 led ill legit trade it for the old one my elm 2 has never been used i recently bought it and its hanging on my wall if u go on my channel and go to the video NEW EMERGENCY LIGHT you will see it
green: ground
black: hot
white: neutral
the positive and negative aer only on batterys

Whats the Orange wire.... Should it be wired to white Positive....
Orage wire is wired to the negative wire, NOT POSITIVE. and ONLY for 277 volt usage
