Dear Anastasia...my name is Rus and I have been a Professional Artist since the late 1970s...I've gone to university for Fine Arts and Art History but the majority of what knowledge I have gained i have learned by watching and listening to others! And...I am still learning after all of these years! Which brings me to you Anastasia...I watch countless videos on RUclips each month about Art and Art History and have found so many brilliant Creatives out there but many still seem to just either seem to copy each other to some degree or lack originality...especially where Watercolours are concerned...But after recently discovering your channel I had such a pleasent surprise! Your style is so fresh and effortless Anastasia...and in such a short time I have picked up so much inspiration from watching your videos! I live in the states with my partner of 26 years ...Tony and I live in a beautiful area of Pennsylvania...and right now we are just beginning the Autumn season in which the colors are soon to be exploding into rich hues if reds and yellows and golden orange! With purples and deep browns too! But like many Artist right now with the change in seasons comes a period of sort of an artistic slump which most Creatives go through o am sure you know...But thankfully after asking the Universe these past few weeks to seen me some inspiration...I found your Channel...So I want to not only tell you just how much I truly enjoy your videos and creative style...I also want to Thank You Anastasia for sharing your craft with our artistic community! You are a true blessing to all of us and you have so much to aspire to...especially the new Creative/Artist...Your methods are easy to follow and a joy to watch!...Many blessings, Rus from Bucks County Pennsylvania ❤️🤓🖌🎨
Dear Rus, after reading your comment I find myself speechless and blown away. Thank you for your beautiful words - it means so much to know that you, being a professional artist for decades, find inspiration in my watercolours. I know what you mean about always learning and always staying curios - I agree that it is such a strong driving power in our creative process. I also never want to stop learning. So thankful for all the creatives who share their knowledge and experience here on this platform - I have also learned so much by watching others make art. I can only imagine how stunning your corner of the world looks like now, with all the colours changing and the air cooling down. Slumps on our creative paths are so common, and I am familiar with them very well, and I am so glad to know that my videos are helping you to get out of that seasonal slump. And your kind words inspire me to make more art and more videos for my channel. Thank you again. I hope you have a lovely day!
@@AnastasiaMilywhat a lovely exchange between kind hearts and minds. I want to tell you Anastasia, as a beginner I have done so much searching for inspiration and have found many areas where that can be found…none like yours, I love the suggestiveness of your strokes!. In the words of Oliver Pyle “it’s all a suggestion “.
@@consueloyoung4484 thank you so much Consuelo - your words truly mean a lot! Knowing that my videos inspire others to create is the most wonderful feeling... Watercolours are such magic - have fun on this beautiful journey.
So wonderful to know you found this video meditative 😊 My painting practice is my meditation so it makes me happy you can feel it as a viewer too ✨Thank you!
Was für eine schöne Stimmung. Man möchte direkt in das Bild eintauchen und am Strand spazieren gehen. Interessant sind Deine Techniken ein Aquarellbild zu malen, die für mich neu sind. Vielen Dank dafür 🦋
It truly does feel like therapy - I love the calm the painting process brings. I haven't been to that corner of the US but it looks so beautiful, so much open space. Thank you for watching!
I started watching your videos and I just can"t believe how talented you are. I love everything you paint. You are definitely my inspiration to pick up a brush and create.Thank you.
What an incredible gift you give us Anastasia with this video! I will spend wonderful hours watching all the others ... Your watercolors are so harmonious and the atmosphere that they send so peaceful and fantastic! Many thanks for sharing your art with other artists💖 Murielle
Hello dear Anastasia! ❤ Your work fascinates with its beauty and atmosphere! Air, softness, color - this is a perfect harmony and inspiration for creativity. What brand of paper do you use please?
I'm in love with the style of painting and must say you very peacefully show your art, which gives lots of knowledge and joy..I try after watching your tutorial because I couldn't control myself to paint what I have learnt from you. God bless you, and please keep sharing your art. Thank you so much . Love you, and happy new year ❤️🤗
Lovely painting. I particularly like the distant mountain and the way you illuminated the surface to reflect the sunlight striking same; very nice touch. I’ve tried several paintings trying to achieve the results you get but need more practice. Think I’ll switch to a rougher surface paper than the 140 lb cold press I’ve been using. Thanks again for sharing.
Thank you so much Ted. Things certainly get easier with lots of practice, and playing with different kinds of paper brings fun results. I mostly use cold press paper, but I love painting on rough too - it creates such lovely textures. Enjoy!
Hello from Canada Anastasia! I am so happy to have found your channel - watching you paint and listening to your music is like a meditation for me - I have started learning watercolour and for me it is the most difficult media - but you make it look so easy !!!! I am sure lots of people have told you that! Please keep posting beautiful videos
Thank you for your kind words JoAnne. So glad you are enjoying my videos. Watercolours can be tricky, especially if you have painted with other mediums like oils or acrylic before starting to paint with watercolours, as the logic is reversed - the white of the paper plays the role of white paint. I think taking it slow, following the lead of your paints, and also using high-quality paints and paper really helps to achieve the results we are after :) Thank you for watching my channel, and happy painting!
Thank you for watching Mira 😊 I would use some French Ultramarine with a little bit of Indigo or Payne’s Grey. Just Indigo would work too. Hope it helps!
Hi my friend. Thanks for the great video you shared with us. very interesting video really great thank you for sharing the video please keep in touch💖, 💕 ,, 💖,💖. 💞.,.
It did happen to me before but it was my paper, not the tape. I use DuckBrand.com masking tape on my 100% cotton papers, and I have never had tearing, but when I used wood pulp paper it tore quite a bit. What paper do you use? I've read some artists use Scotch tape brand masking tape that performs well too. It is a bit of a trial and error I think... Good luck!
@@AnastasiaMily I’m just getting started in the water color world. You make it look easy. You also make it look fun. I bought my paper from Amazon and it is 100 % cotton. Surprised the tape did that because it is only for art work. Anyway could of been because my paper was wet. I didn’t let it dry before taking it off. I love your work.
@@nanaf3303 Thank you so much! It is certainly not easy (but it does get easier with practice!) but it is a lot of fun :) I think your paper did rip because it was still wet. Hopefully it works for you next time!

This is peacefully beautiful ❤. Can Aussie red be substituted for quinacridone gold?
Thank you so much! I would add a touch of red to Quinacridone Gold to warm it up as to me it is a bit on a "cooler" side comparing to Aussie Red Gold.
