My stupid ass thought it was real and I was amazed that, that's how Graham Bell use to sound and it was quiet funny. At last when counter part said he sees his no as 1 I realised it was a meme.
Not that weird that all his "inventions" after the telephone didn't go very noticed, seeing as he didn't invent the telephone. Antonio Santi Giuseppe Meucci made an electronic speaking box to talk to his bedridden wife in 1856 and Alexander graham bell patented the phone in 1876 and he most likely actually stole the idea either from Elisha Gray who was working on a liquid transmitter telephone long before Alexander or from Antonio Who if we call the thing he invented a telephone (which i personally very much think we should) invented the telephone WAY before the other two
None of those are telephones though are they... and even if they were "working" on something... if it doesn't get completed or functional then they invented a thing called a paper weight. A. G. Bell, invented the telephone though...
@@jeffklaubo3168 they were completed tho? Antonio used his talk every day with his wife from his office to their bedroom. it wasn't hooked up to any communications network but it could easily have been if he had expanded the idea. and Elisha Gray's invention is literally the same as graham bells to the point where its really hard to imagine that plagiarism wasn't involved. which is why its generally being accepted these days that Elisha was the actual inventor of the telephone. Alexander was just first on the patent and again. probably stole it from Gray. another note worthy thing is that Grey sent his caveat to the patent office a full thee days before Bell sent his patent
Kind of. Antonio pretty much made the first walkie-talkie, and Elisha grey improved on it to make the first phone, but her invention wasn't scalable until Bell improved on the 'systems & network end' of the technology -- which actually made it useful. Best to think of it as a snowball. Then Thomas Edison came along and improved the audio quality, which is why you might know a couple people who credit the Phone to him
