It was different than we expected. Was a beautiful country and a great experience. Mopeds EVERYWHERE! It's the mopeds you need to watch out for. All my near miss experiences, were mopeds.
It's definitely not a 4-star hotel , but nice views of the river. We loved the river walk. Looks like you guys had some bad luck with those hotels. Thanks for the video, Andrew
Bud... the honking is unreal. I can't even explain the honking. Thankfully our apartment is in a pretty quiet neighborhood now. I'm on the balcony writing... and only tropical bird sounds 👍
Did you bump in Jack Nicholson at 'The Shining hotel' it looked a bit dated but clean enough. Looked like a nice place to visit. Thanks for another great video mate. Hi Lindsay.... I subscribed to Lindsay's channel. Looking forward to seeing some of her work.
No Jack to be found. It was a horrible place but there is better value in the area. Not sure if Lindsay is going to post anything. She is humming and hawing about it.
@@andrewabroad50 The Century hotel is one of the worst hotels in Hue . A few years ago it was closed for insalubrity . My favorite hotels there are President hotel on Hung Vuong street , Saigon Morin hotel on Le Loi street and Asean hotel on Pham Ngu Lao street .
@@andrewabroad50 You are welcome . If you like the classic French style , you should try the Saigon Morin hotel , located on Le Loi street , just in front of the Trang Tien bridge . That Hotel was built by the French over 100 years ago , like the Metropole in Hanoi and the Continental in Saigon .
Beautiful Places
Yes, there were a lot of beautiful places! Great adventure!
Great experience, great places, great people ❤️🇻🇳
It was.
I actually can't remember the name of the hotel from The Shining. It was set in the Rockies! Great movie though!
Ya, I cant remember either, but at night when the hallway was dim... it was a little spooky.
@@andrewabroad50 especially when those twin girls were riding their bikes around the hallways
Vietnam is a lot different than I expected. All in all, it seemed nice. A lot of mopeds and bikes. More than cars I'd say.

The rural video will be up in a day or 2.
Thanks for the guidance. Hope you have a good time in Chiang mai. We had a very charming stay there some years back.
Thank you and Chiang Mai was very nice. It was so much quieter and less busy.

Lol... ya 4 star. The view and river stroll was nice.
Those honking horn dudes knew you were from Canada and part of the honking parade! lol

@@andrewabroad50 that's ok. I'm sure she has taken plenty of pics and videos though. Maybe when she gets comfortable enough she may upload some stuff.
Ha Ha ! You got for what you paid my friend . There is no 4* star hotel in the world for 35 $ CN a night
Lol... I agree. Although we did get a 5 star for $50 at Dewa Resort and it was really nice.

If we are back in Hue, we will give your recommendations a try.
Thank you!
