    I like being at the NBL. theres a camera in the pool that you can control when in the viewing area. its fun to see if you can see yourself on the camera by positioning it towards you.

    I've been in the warehouse that's literally on the other side of one of the walls in there. My FIRST Robotics team was visiting the NASA-funded FRC team, the Robonauts, in their workshop behind the NBL.

    The Neutral Buoyancy Lab or as the astronauts call it The Pool. if an astronaut has to do a spacewalk this is where they go to get trained for it.

    The weird part is they have a full team of divers to drag them around rather than just making a mockup underwater propulsion system.

    In the video about space suits, the interviewee said that space suits aren't custom made, and basically come in a small, medium or large. This guy is saying they *are* custom made. Which is it?

    Remember when the astronaut in space had his helmet filling with water. Maybe when no one is looking they use nbl to do the actual space walks they show on NASA tv.

    the NBL or as the astronauts call it The Pool inside here is were ever spacewalk done on the station is practiced before they go outside to do the real thing.

    every part of Space Station ISS is here except the Russian components. training for Russian modules is done in Star City Russia outside Moscow. US Segment,Japanese Segment,and European Segment training is done here or in Munich or Tokyo.

      Well you have a different space program, apart from USA you are the only ones who have a fully featured setup, everyone else just tags along for the ride.
      And right now if it weren't for the Russian space program everything would be grounded for possibly 5 years because NASA is lacking funds for new rockets.
      It is troubling that the countries are at odds with each other and the cooperation is at arms length, but if it weren't for Russia developing their own stuff then US would dictate everything regarding space flight.

    looks awesome but when he said they put in a lot more hours then most.i dont know about all that i do 2- four to five hour dives a day at work but shoooot id dive there all day! 100 percent viz no fight tides or currents phhss im all about it

    That is the big question, isn't it? Everyone just want to be first. But does it really matter? When you are first, what does that mean for your life? Do you get a price? Do you think someone will read your comment and think "WoW! That guy was first! I think I will give him? a million bucks!"? Will you find true love?
    It's a hard question to answer. Who knows, right? My guess though is that it will be of no consequence at all to your life. Except maybe you do realize that it is pointless be first
