This mod is made by someone who enjoys Magic: the Gathering and also has a really good understanding of StS, and it really shows. Color me impressed.

Frost said the same thing about the Hermit character from the Downfall expansion. In the video he said "may or may not be ranked above the Hermit but I need to think about it", so I'm assuming he thought about it and decided that it was.
Milled is a term from Magic the Gathering, based on the card from one of the earlier (or earliest?) sets called Millstone, which puts cards into the graveyard from the library. Cool to see it used elsewhere (even though it is kinda common).
Just realized that Thoughtsieze is the name of one of the cards, which is one of the most popular cards in Magic the Gathering too!
The creator plays mtg so it makes sense
It is amazing that a random mediocre card named "Millstone" ended up becoming term people use to describe a common thing across many different card games.
The timeskip noise is just the sfx used for king crimsons timeskip in jjba... That's an amazing touch ngl

I absolutely love this series of modded content! It encourages more modders to make more mods that are creative or bigger and better, and I've been constantly on the look out for quality STS mods because they add so much to the game

I think that "void" could probably be better named "emptyness" or "empty", because otherwise its just causing confusion

Love the King Crimson sound effect when time skip
Could frost have gone infinite at 1:07:00? If he plays desperation it says the card he copies costs 0 this turn. If that applies for the whole turn including if you pull it back to hand he could go infinite. Play desperation copying unearth, play unearth (the 1 cost one) to get desperation back, you now have a zero cost unearth, copy it with desperation, you now have 2 zero cost unearths and a desperation along with an unearth in discard and 4 mana, play a 0 cost unearth getting back a 1 cost unearth and desperation, copy vlaze with desperation and infinitely cycle your desperation copying a vlaze each time by playing desperation on vlaze, playing a vlaze, and then using one unearth to grab back desperation and the other unearth. This gives you unlimited vlazes. Granted this all only works if the copies from desperation stay 0 mana until end of turn even in the discard pile.

Love the card art, character design, and the custom ending screen, how well I feel this character fits into the main game, the gameplay does the character itself doesn’t in my opinion but that doesn’t mean I don’t like the little skull boy and his magic cup
When people ask "Is it copyrighted?", the answer is almost always yes. People have equated automated DMCA systems that flag audio as evidence of copyright, but the music you play from say, Sonic Frontiers is very much copyrighted material. The only reason it doesn't get flagged automatically is because people have been allowed to stream the game by the company, something that is technically not implicitly allowed. Meanwhile, royalty free music is usually also under some form of copyright, but it's license allows for royalty free commercial use. You could not, however, claim it to be your own music. An example would be music from RUclips's royalty free library.
A better question would be, "Would it get flagged by a bot?"
I love these StS character mods and the vacant is a really good one. Also I recommend trying out the runesmith at some point too

Can you antifact the correcting buff that is applied when dark shackles is played?
This character looks amazing. Also to clarify milling in other games is taking cards from the top of your deck and putting them in the discard pile in order of the draw. An example would be the lightsworn cards in Yugioh which mill their deck. I can't remember the Magic deck that did a similar thing.

Great deck mechanics and card design but as a character The Hermit seems to be more fitting to incorporate in StS actual game

Does Prismatic Shard work with modded characters? Cause Grand Finale would be absolutely busted with Mill.
Prismatic Shard presumably just lets cards from all existing characters be available, so yeah, I assume so. But every character added means the pool is that much larger, so getting Grand Finale is not super likely.
I can't tell if the mod is actually using the King Crimson time skip sound effect from JoJo or if this is a joke that's being added in post.

I'm perplexed lol. Frost says he's on vacation, which is why he's been wearing the same shirt, but he's still making videos, and also still in his home. I'm confused as to what a vacation means in this context because he's not taking a break from work, nor leaving his home lol
Hes not home. Hes making multiple intros for Andrew, his editor, to put into the videos. All the intros likely took place within the same hour or two, which explains the same shirt thing.

I like the downfall characters but they are kinda wonky to play
This is a great mod. The only reason id say it cannot be a part of the normal spire is because it has waaaaaaaaay to many new keywords. Aside from that, its great!
I mean every character has its own set of keywords - especially the later they came out, the more keywords they got!
Just some better explanations on the keywords, touch up the artstyles just a _little_ bit and that's it.
Also thematically the character might be too lighthearted, but maybe that can be fixed by having the expression of the base "fighting model" to be more neutral, and shift the "pose". Right now he looks much more like an enemy than a played character.
The cards can be lighthearted with its expressions, as they are as well in the base game.
@@MrRevillo Yes, every character has a few, but this even beats the watcher by miles. The watcher has: scry, calm, warth, divinity, retain and mantra (you could even summarize the stances into just stances). This character has: Hollow, void, mill, ricochet, vigor, doom, mine, chip, temperance, voidbound, reap, unnate, antifact, and shroud, and if I wanted to be picky I could even include every crystal separately. Do you see how there is a massive difference in quantity of keywords? The vacant has at least 14 whereas the watcher has 6, 3 of which are stances.
Im not saying its bad, im just saying that in terms of being a part of the base game, he would need to cut down on those. He has more than double what the most complex character does.
@@tophatowl6724 Vacant does have lots of keywords indeed. A few of them are very related to/plays off of Vanilla keywords, like Unnate and Antifact, and some are just describing status effects like Doom and Reap and Temperance. I made it with the intention of the mechanics feeling like they fit in with base game, but didn’t intend for it to feel like it could be a base game character, or I definitely would have trimmed down on the keywords like you said. Gems themselves are already a ton, but they have very simple effects. I’m sure there are ways to trim down on the keywords, but the goal wasn’t to make a vanilla character, it was to make a modded one lol
