Personally I think he shouldnt slow down the bloon speed, just because all the other ones didnt have that advantage, or if hes going to keep doing that, then retest the other ones to see what they would get on half speed too
The first ones didn't have as many nodes either, he might retest em eventually in a complication once the series is further
I agree, especially because the normal speed is closer to the "real" gameplay

You said advantage it's as if super mines wouldn't plow through all of them without the "advantage". The only thing lowering the bloon speed would do for the others is to increase their max rounds but they definitely wouldn't switch spots, which he might eventually do.

@@calebseal3.14 it's a problem with sponsor skip. RUclips has been experimenting with directly injecting ads into the videos so it changes the timing of everything.

Wouldn’t it be better if the explosions could hit the whole track? Idk how much pierce they have,
I believe the explosions have 60 un buffed. You'd be losing track length for damage but I think the length would be better

Perhaps, but remember that spike factories don't really "waste" damage. If there's nothing in range, they still are able to make progress by building up a spike pile.
The main damage is from fire damage so longer map is more time for fire damage bc fire damage is 1000 dps

Something I noticed is not only is the Balance Hedge circle the exact size as the 2nd tier vines of the 050 Druid, but it is also about the size of the explosion radius of a super mine, if it was in the center.
Unfortunately for my ocd, it isn't small enough to fit in the center spot so its a bit off to the left or right, and also there is no track in the exact center for a mine to land
So if you could somehow get a longest map entirely within the radius of the Balanced hedges then everything on the track would be decimated by every spike mine, even if it simply expires.
Although I don't make maps, so I don't know how feasible such a map would be

the supermines explosions is MASSIVE, it can hit the furthest left and right lanes in bloody puddles if u have supermines in the center lane. ur probably gonna get a lot more dmg if u had the supermines on the center of the map. also i wonder whether simply timing out mines in the center of the map would do more dmg. is the full dmg of the supermines excluding the final explosion more than the final explosion itself since timing out does 2x dmg? u can cover way more bloons too in the 2x strength explosion
I think seeing something different like Icicle Impale or Sentry Champion next would be neat

I don't think it would be optimal, but thematically for the supermines I'd try to make a map that is as long as possible while having the looping paths be so close to the mines that any bloon would always get hit by the AOE explosion.
So like a central crossing where the super mines drops all the mines and 4 small loops crossing that x in the middle but never going far enough away to escape the AOE.
Off the top of my head I don't remember how big the AOE is though, so maybe that's not practical.
But thematically speaking, keeping the bloons in the range of the AOE would be perfect for the supermines.

I always thought the Homeland overides the weaker buff, so I always had 3 constantly up over the homeland and accidently nerfed my game. It makes sense though to balance it

i love the series but have some minor feedback :')
i think you should re-do the highest round all the previous towers did, or keep only the 1x speed for future videos for consistency
- having everything move only at 0.5 speed essentially gives everything 2x the normal attack speed which should majorly affect the highest round the towers can reach
As a future Civil Engineer, those bridges make me question all my life.
You should do a challenge where you can only use towers that you can profit from. Only towers that make more money than you spent on them. Because even in BTD we should be making good investments.

I think the longest a map could be while still having Super Mines nearby to maximize their expire explosion would have been what I imagined. Like if somehow the bridges(going into the water??) were the final bend and Super Mines was in the middle. Not sure how much better that would be but I feel like nonstop expiring explosions is better dps. 2k explosion, with +250 to Forts and +500 to ceramics(lol) with an additional 7500 damage over 6 seconds. This would mean the burning damage is going on for basically the entire time they're going around, while also keeping the explosions constant. But that was my initial idea.

@@kiro253 ceramics don’t even scale in hp too, only speed (tho idk about if the fortified property scales)
@@infrences fortified is 2x hp, so it won't scale for ceramics.

There is definitely an optimization bug that existed ever since because it always laga like crazy the more the game goes on regardless how many Bloons there are

Nah i dont think it will go further than super mines....the only that can get close to Smine is probably a superbuffed VSTG(both non buffed VSTG and Smine doesn't beat R200)

We've seen Super Mines and Perma Spike, why not do Carpet of Spikes next? It'd be really interesting to see how the placements and map construction might be different.
Spike Factory is my favorite Tower but I do feel like it's unfair to the other towers that all the bloons were at half speed, might just be me though

boss man im pre sure u coulda afforded true sun god near the end there if it does 70 rounds and u make like 5-10k per round youd get close... especially if u dont waste time on insignificant buffs like the second call to arms (to cover only 0.5s of time) or possibly even perma brew

Very little track length for the spikes to build up, you get the explosions off close to perfect, but has way less dps overall.

He was going to buy it anyway for the other buffs.
Don't worry, you'll understand when you realize support temple gives pierce, damage, and attack speed buffs other than the discount. Getting it earlier would not only save you money, but also allows you to maximize all the buffs affordable on chimps.
Super mines is good but its still really expensive. They should make it a little bit cheaper
It is good for it's price though? The only reasonable way for them to be able to buff its price is to nerf the damage around.
