Few tips for people. Amsoil 5w30 signature oil only in the car to prevent oil thinning from the heat, no e on stock turbos, no matter how “safe people might describe it” most oils aren’t compatible with e, and a e85 filter is necessary if you do use e because it cleans the engine and frees up carbon deposits which can cause problems, Don’t lug the engine meaning don’t floor it from high gears, downshift 2 gears then do so turbocharged cars hate lugging, let engine heat up before punching the car and let it idle for 2 minutes only after pushing the car hard to prevent turbo hotspots from thinning the oil.
Where'd you get your information on no E on stock turbo? Running e60 on stock turbos for 15k miles and nothing but great reports from blackstone oil analysis every 3k.. Also e85 filter doesn't clean your engine or have anything to do with carbon deposits, it only removes impurities out of the gas that sit in the tank, that's it. Other than those points, you have good info
@@steveb8897he got his info from the Facebook group which they are wrong too. 0w20 is fine for this car, that’s why the engineers recommend it. I would like to see where one of these engines failed and it was because of using 0w20..

@@Philly91x0w20 is terrible for the car, you know how much heat small turbos produce? 5w30 is necessary in above 75 degrees weather climate. Too much heat breaks down oil which causes the viscosity to go up, and accelerate engine wear, and oil 5w30 is much more resistant to heat breakdown compared to 0w20. Not true. You can run blow off valves, especially if you're tuned around it. Funny how Z1, CZP and MAPerformance all have Q50/Q60 cars equipped with them. Yet you got forum trolls are arm chair mechanics claomimg otherwise. There's no downside to them, especially if you ever decide to swap in a manual transmission later.

To put it in rwd for the dyno, there's a white plug in the trunk behind the panel (drivers side i believe). Unplug that and you "should be" good to go. Definitely search online more for it first. Good luck and clean car!
Do a remote tune. Also no need for AWD dyno. Pull the plug. Not sure what happened to yours but I have been Sonictuned for tens of thousands of miles on E30 no issues. Once you get a new motor just stay on top of maintenance.
get syvecs controller to go rwd :) worth it and if motor oil isnt changed every 3k or you dont pay attention to level ya chances of blowing down the line is alot higher
5k is fine, you need 5w30 for weather above 75 degrees tho. 3k is only necessary if you are launching the car, and pushing it to limits every single day. In fact I’d say change it quicker if you do it.
I enjoyed this video, as I like to see content from my brotha's. However, sometime brotha content makes me cringe. This was completely the opposite. It was refreshing to see a clean cut, articulate, young black man elaborate on the intricate circumstance with his car. No hair twist swinging or overuse of 'uuuuhh' or a thousand uses of 'bro' or any other image ruining behavior some black men have. It's unfortunate what should be a standard is now the exception. Anyway, glad the dealer covered the car. That's a helluva dealer.
@calebmedina4689 the rubber used is compliant with gas and ethanol, won't wear it down anymore than 93 will. Have to remember that all gas sold today contains up to 10% E, sometimes even higher
Sounds like over heated but kept driving, could have been saved if done a compression test and simply install new bearings. Past 210 oil temps loose most viscosity not sure what you're running but i noticed very few q50 give out when running 5w30 compared to 0w20.
Good premium oil should not be losing viscosity at 210 as that is actually the perfect operating temp for most cars but I do agree about 0-20, it's only used by manufacturers to extract the most mpg but that shit is water lol
Not an easy fix, most likely the bearings are worn. The reason is becasue you used the factor 0w20 oil. This oil is shit and thins really quickly because of the heat the turbos output which leads to increased wear, 5w30 only in the vr30. Nissan is shit for recommending such a low grade oil. You car would’ve lasted 3 times as long I’d the right oil was used not your fault, Nissans fault for using this oil, and not updating this.
