Great trip! Love my new Featherlight stove, great to support somebody who’s making the best cone on the market! Been using a Vesuv with an Evernew 600 for a few years now it’s a great set up, but it didn’t fold inside the pot, plus your stove is quicker when I’ve tested them side by side, so a great product and the way it hooks together is much better than the press studs on the Vesuv!
Thank you Brian! Yeah rather fresh, went actually down to -6C in the night but tbh. I prefer in Scotland rather the winter season due to all the little critters 😂
Hi Stripey, just came across your video by chance (though as a Featherlight backer I knew who you are). I’m now 71, with hip and knee problems, so it’s a while since I’ve done any serious hillwalking. I’ve done ‘The Ridge’ several times in my younger days, so It was great to accompany you ‘virtually’ up onto the tops. It was also great to see you using your Featherlight 700. I’ve only used mine a couple of times so far - for making drinks, so it was good to see you using it with your frying pan too. I hadn’t thought of simply splitting the cone and using the lower half. It would be good to emphasise that option on the Wildside website! Might help generate extra sales 😊 Best Regards. Peter
Thank you very much Peter and thank you so much for your support 👍 Yeah it would be definitely good to integrate it properly in the webpage…Thanks a lot Stripey
Great Video and camp out - I have the featherlight stove and I hadn't realised that you could fry on it by using on the 1st layer of the cone as you did in this video - great to add to the usage options and migjt be worth mentioing on your site as I couldn't spot anything - also very happy with the stove .
@@harryowen8197 thank you very much Harry! Yeah I use it for things to fry which require not so much heat….e.g. it is not enough for a steak, but bread or sausages are ok 👌. Thank you very much for your support 🔥 ATB Stripey
Good to see you back out Stripey....... Hope you & the family had a nice Xmas & NY. I've been using the Featherlight as my main cook kit since receiving it, I thought that the cone was a bit fiddly when I first got it but I can put the cone together in around 8 seconds start to finish......... brilliant piece of kit! ATVB
Thanks a lot mate, you as well! Yeah it is a kind of fiddly at the beginning but as with most things when you have a little practise is goes easy - but 8s is very quick, tells me you use it a lot 👍 Thanks a lot Stripey
I can hear you walking but I can’t hear you talking but it’s great to see you back, I thought you had packed it in when I hadn’t seen you for a while. Great job Stripey. Cheers James
Yes Stripey, great to see you back out in the beautiful Scottish Highlands and in particular Glencoe. What stunning views you were treated too in the morning. All the best mate and a happy new year. Dave 😀🥾⛰🏴
Thank you very much Dave! Wish you also a happy new year. Feels just great to go out again, particular when you have great company and views like that in the morning 😊
Thanks a lot. It is a ThermoDrop Keyring thermometer, but it costs silly money in the UK - probably best when you have a friend visiting from the US. It can show you the current temp. and the Min./Max. within a 24h period + waterproof.
Is anyone else having a problem not hearing Stipey's own voice? I'm hearing what seems like an automated speech. Not sure if one of my settings is wrong? Thanks for any help
No idea why RUclips does this, but it sounds like it is 'auto dubbing' it for you (even so I unchecked the box in my upload menu). Maybe you have some sort of menu option which you can check or un-check?
i use the same technique with the nalgene bottle - but I also use it to dry my wet stuff too, if i have any. i also like to take some of the dried italian cheese to go onto the pasta!
I love it! Have it now for quite some time and never regretted it. Apart of one time…carried water inside of the pack (what a fool 😂) and the bladder burst….after like 30min or so I got a wet bum and I was wonder why 😅 and as the material is nearly waterproof everything in my pack got completely socket and I needed to empty the pack like a bucket full of water 😂😂😂. I am also really impressed with the Ultra material, at the time when I got it it was fresh on the market and so far I can say that robic and ultra is my favourite material for backpacks - basically indestructible 🔥
Thank you Mike, the black ones are some waterproof sealskinz with touch screen compatibility and the green ones are some very old convertible Mammut mittens not waterproof but with windstopper and super warm. Hope it helps. ATB Stripey
Looks fantastic but why is video dumbed with an Automated voice 🤷♂️ such ashame but cannot put up with it. Hopefully will be fixed and i can enjoy watching with Stripey guy's real voice.

Really enjoy your videos.
Thank you very much 😊
Glad to see you back.
Automated voice was unintentionally hilarious
😂
Great video Stripey! I was cold watching it! May I ask where you got you're thermometer please? Thanks very much. 🏴

@StripeyHatGuy Thanks very much for that Stripey. Looking forward to your next adventure. 👍🏴

You aren't alone and it's awful, lol. I'm gonna check back in a few days and see if it's fixed/reuploaded. I can't listen to the bot voice.

In video settings change the audio track to “German (original)” and it plays the recorded audio instead of the dubbed computer voice.
Under settings change the audio track from English to German, video plays then without the dubbed audio.
@@StripeyHatGuy Eureka , changed audio settings to orginal German and now I can here Stripeys voice. 😊

Yeah very true with drying your clothes, good idea with the cheese - eating pasta bolognese for years and never thought of it 😂
Bonfus 😍
Completely underrated company imho!
@ totally agree, I am hoping to get the Framus 58L.

@StripeyHatGuy Thankyou.
Is that just tinfoil under your stove pal how many layers if so, love My stove by way
@@bradjones2924 yeah I use just tinfoil underneath it. A folded one is enough for leaving no trace 👍. Thanks a lot
