Yeah, it wasn’t a bad movie. I wasn’t against the idea of having it be a “new beginning” with new characters, that was actually refreshing. But the idea of having the robbers be these super high tech terrorists and the kid still wins is pretty far fetched
I liked the villains in this one and that they pretty much played it straight in the beginning. To me, that made it funnier when they got to the comeuppance part.
I know I’m super late but thank you so much for watching Home Alone 3! Truly in my opinion number 3 is THE BEST out of the trilogy (the others after 1,2 and 3 are pure trash) and it’s my childhood favorite too even though I’ve seen 1 and 2. Number 3 has a special place in my heart and always will be number 1. The 3rd film doesn’t get the praise it deserves and doesn’t deserve the hate it has gotten since the film came out. OMG YESSSSSS!!!!! I think this movie is soo underrated. Yes it is cheesey and a bit of a retread on the first 2, but i think it still has its shining moments. I feel like Alex's trap setup was more believable than Kevin's from 1 and 2. Kevin seemed to fully booby trap these giant houses in an hour whereas this movie shows Alex taking most of the night to set up. I also find the whole "home alone" reason alot more believable than Kevin's being left home or making onto the wrong flight. And Alex did try to call the cops twice unlike Kevin. Thank you for reacting to it no matter what. Loved your reaction and that you atleast gave this movie a chance. So many reactors stop at 2, but i think 3 still has some nuggets of gold before it totally falls off with 4 and up. Have a happy holiday

It’s because most 3rd movies of franchises suck. I myself love the Rush Hour movies but I hated the 3rd movie. It’s very rare that any 2nd movie of franchises are good let alone the 3rd movie
Well its obvious why its not liked. The original is a classic which was unique when it came out and people grew up on it. So people associate home alone with the original actor. In this one they replace the actor, the villains and the story and traps are even more absurd than the originals which were somewhat believable. It was never going to be liked even if it is good if you know what i mean.

the only critique i ever heard about this movie is that "the kid is not kevin or mackulay culkin" but i like that making it a new kid he has a different reason to stay home, home alone 4 really tried to make the kid kevin and it failed, he calls the cops showing that calling the cops doesn't work they actually answered the "what if he just called the cops dilemma" and the criminals being way smarter still made it fun as unrealistic as it is that the kid wins, i find that to be the funnest thing of it. he isn't dealing with 2 idiots and he wins. Also a nice bonus that the parents are not as bad to him this time just the siblings which is normal.
Thank you for reacting to HA3. I find it an entertaining continuation of the franchise. The one other movie I like is Home Alone: The Holiday Heist. I like it because like HA3 it is a different take on the formula. It is obviously a made-for-TV version, but it has it's own fun moments. Malcolm McDowell is the leader of the bad guys in this one and is much better than French Stewart's Marv in HA #4.

So I like Home Alone 3. I like that it has its own story and its own characters. Alex D. Linz really played his role well. And here a logic error from the previous parts was not made. With parts 1 + 2 you always ask yourself why doesn't Kevin call the police (well he calls the police at the end, but never at the beginning)? Here he does it and what happens? The police and his own family do not believe him.

Not gonna lie, I always had a soft spot for this one I always liked it bjt not as much as the first two and the second one is my favorite but I grew up on all 3 and as a kid I loved the song this is my home or whatever and I always thought the toy car was dope asf.
Yeah first Home alone I saw in the theater. So very interesting note but the song they after his mom leaves and he sets up the rest of his traps is actually uncensored since they use the H word but the offical release is actually edited. They say "and if you think your ready well" instead of "If your ready to see H word"

Home Alone 3 is the best and funniest home alone movie. Alex took down 4 terrorists. Kevin took down 2 petty thieves. Alex also never got captured and needed anyone to bail Him out like Kevin in 1 and 2. Alex>Kevin.
As a grown man in my 30's, I still enjoy this movie. Sure, it's not as funny as the first two movies, but it tried to be it's own thing while respecting the first two

I’m glad you guys enjoyed the movie but for me personally I still thought it sucked. It just had no reason to be made and what’s worse is it was written by John Hughes. He wrote and directed such classics as The Breakfast Club, Planes, Trains and Automobiles, Ferris buellers day off and so forth. He was also a talented writer for Vacation movies like Home Alone, Pretty in Pink, I mean he was like the voice of a generation. Then Home Alone 2 came out he wrote it and it sucked. Then Baby’s day out came out he wrote it and it sucked. Then 101 Dalmatians, flubber, Just Visiting, Dennis the Menace that shitty ass Miracle on 34th street movie all written by him. I mean it’s like what happened he was like a voice of a generation but then he got lost in this slapstick inspired shit or slap shit as I like to call it. But none of them are as bad as the crowning achievement of horror that is Home Alone 3. This is a film where even if you saw the previews you felt dirty. How could such a great writer stoop to such an insulting, demeaning, and absolutely unentertaining love.

I have a really hard time buying that an 8 year old kid can outsmart 4 international spys, in the original movies it made sense because Harry and Marv were idiots but here the villians are international spys which means they should be fairly intelligent and somehow they are getting outsmarted by a kid that's still in the second grade.

For her to call Home Alone 3 corny doesn't sit well with me because she needs to be able to understand the movie better and watch it with a different perspective to be able to understand the movie and not be such a hard movie critic and call it corny, because she cannot say that Home Alone 3 is not more funnier than Home Alone 1 and 2 because if you think about it really well it makes sense. And even though I find Home Alone 1 and 2 funny and I guess wholesome does not make Home Alone 3 not more funnier than Home Alone 1 & 2. Because someone like me who likes Home Alone 3 more than one and 1 and 2 because of the funniness of the movie and the fact that there are animals involved in the movie makes it more interesting and more underrated. So I suggest that she continues to watch Home Alone 3 more to fully understand the movie better and not be such a harsh critic over the movie and call it "corny". Because if there's any Home Alone movie she should say is corny is four and five but not three. Because if you watch some of the scene compilations on RUclips of the movie and see people leaving good positive comments about the movie and saying how it's better than Home Alone 1 and 2, then you'll have a different and better perspective of the movie and unlike your woman you had a better reaction to it better than her and you actually enjoyed it more than her and didn't think of it as corny.

Home Alone 3 is not as good as the the first and second but it's the better of all the unneeded sequels out there. It has its charm.

So I like Home Alone 3. I like that it has its own story and its own characters. Alex D. Linz really played his role well. And here a logic error from the previous parts was not made. With parts 1 + 2 you always ask yourself why doesn't Kevin call the police (well he calls the police at the end, but never at the beginning)? Here he does it and what happens? The police and his own family do not believe him.

I may be late but at 35:24 the subtitles says -(gasps) but the actor Olek Krupa is a polish actor (and I thought it only happened in polish version of the film but no lol) he says "Rozgniotę cię jak karalucha! I’m glad you guys enjoyed the movie but for me personally I still thought it sucked. It just had no reason to be made and what’s worse is it was written by John Hughes. He wrote and directed such classics as The Breakfast Club, Planes, Trains and Automobiles, Ferris buellers day off and so forth. He was also a talented writer for Vacation movies like Home Alone, Pretty in Pink, I mean he was like the voice of a generation. Then Home Alone 2 came out he wrote it and it sucked. Then Baby’s day out came out he wrote it and it sucked. Then 101 Dalmatians, flubber, Just Visiting, Dennis the Menace that shitty ass Miracle on 34th street movie all written by him. I mean it’s like what happened he was like a voice of a generation but then he got lost in this slapstick inspired shit or slap shit as I like to call it. But none of them are as bad as the crowning achievement of horror that is Home Alone 3. This is a film where even if you saw the previews you felt dirty. How could such a great writer stoop to such an insulting, demeaning, and absolutely unentertaining love.

I have a really hard time buying that an 8 year old kid can outsmart 4 international spys, in the original movies it made sense because Harry and Marv were idiots but here the villians are international spys which means they should be fairly intelligent and somehow they are getting outsmarted by a kid that's still in the second grade.
Well, believe it or not, they got some spies that are clumsy and not intelligently smart
well they underestimate him. That is the point. Yes , they are an adults, who think they are super smart and better than everyone else. In their eyes Alex is just a footnote, not even an obstacle. And because they think his traps are harmless kids stuff they fall for those.
For her to call Home Alone 3 corny doesn't sit well with me because she needs to be able to understand the movie better and watch it with a different perspective to be able to understand the movie and not be such a hard movie critic and call it corny, because she cannot say that Home Alone 3 is not more funnier than Home Alone 1 and 2 because if you think about it really well it makes sense. And even though I find Home Alone 1 and 2 funny and I guess wholesome does not make Home Alone 3 not more funnier than Home Alone 1 & 2. Because someone like me who likes Home Alone 3 more than one and 1 and 2 because of the funniness of the movie and the fact that there are animals involved in the movie makes it more interesting and more underrated. So I suggest that she continues to watch Home Alone 3 more to fully understand the movie better and not be such a harsh critic over the movie and call it "corny". Because if there's any Home Alone movie she should say is corny is four and five but not three. Because if you watch some of the scene compilations on RUclips of the movie and see people leaving good positive comments about the movie and saying how it's better than Home Alone 1 and 2, then you'll have a different and better perspective of the movie and unlike your woman you had a better reaction to it better than her and you actually enjoyed it more than her and didn't think of it as corny.
