No scratches or marks came with the charger and box fast speed, and if you are buying a pen get the 1st gen don’t make the mistake I did !!
I picked up iPad mini I look how portable it is and I just do the basics I really enjoy it
I have been using the 2018 iPad Pro 12.9” since December and haven’t touched my MacBook Pro. I have the Smart Keyboard folio and 2nd Gen Apple Pencil, as well as the Sanho Hyper Drive USB-C hub. I went all in but my workflow allows it, and so far the iPad Pro is working for me. When i need to work, i can. When i need to have fun and game or consume media, i fold the keyboard back and get to enjoy a massive screen while hanging out on the couch. Much more pleasant experience than a laptop.
IPad Mini 5, replaced my original mini. I enjoy using it more than a phone and take it with me more often than a laptop. The perfect in between device.

If I can, I would get both the baseline iPad Mini as a portable electronic notebook, music player, web browser, and for checking emails, and a maxed out iPad Pro to pair with a Mac Mini to be my workhorse.
I got the 128GB iPad 9.7 for $300 last year. I came from an iPad Mini 1. Keep note, I dont even notice the sceen gap and Ive been using it to read almost everything for Med School. If youre going to buy an iPad for studying, this iPad is for you, cheap, big enough screen, and capable enough.

@@annechy_9222 well if you came from a tablet with no screen gap/laminated display you would notice it. But I think youll adapt to it fast enough.
I originally purchased the iPad mini, but was disappointed in the small screen size. It looks way larger on RUclips! It's like a toy! Lol! So, I upgraded to the iPad Air 3 and I love it! :)
I just bought the new IPad Mini 5. I had the original, liked the size, but it was way too slow. Really like the new Mini with it’s compact size , great performance, and good display.

Anthony. Yes, definitely! Faster all round, apps seem to run faster and I especially notice how much faster the fingerprint scanner is. I use my Apple Pencil on both and don’t notice any difference, both perfect 🙂
I bought the 9.7 iPad when it first was released strictly for media consumption. Does an excellent job of that at a value price.

Xue Ern Neo The problem as I see it is not with the hardware but with the operating system. The lack of good file management for handling your edited files could be a hindrance to you. If you come up with a good work around to address this issue than yes this this iPad is more than powerful enough to handle your needs.
Ralph G I see! Well I mainly use Google’s services such as Docs and Drive to manage my stuff so that should be all good. I think I’m leaning towards the Air 3 now, since paying a reasonable increase in price could mean 2 extra years of support plus the bigger display plus laminated display is quite attractive. I got the iPad Air 3 because I have a mini 4 and I’m looking for a upgrade. But I don’t want to get another iPad mini because I like the bigger screen and cost is an issue and plus the iPad Pro bends and I don’t like it as much as the air. The iPad Air 3 is perfect for me
That’s a good question Jeff, and not as easy to answer as it seems like it should be- I LOVE the iPad Pro as a device; (I have a 2017 10.5”), but the problem is that the new ones are SO CRIPPLED by iOS. A $329 iPad can do EXACTLY the same thing as a $2000 iPad Pro, and that just ain’t right! So, unless iOS 13 announces some earth shattering changes, I’m not sure I love the iPad Pro as I’d like to. It’s the only reason that I haven’t replaced my 10.5” with a 2018 yet. Keep up the great work!!
iOS is still extremely crippled on the 2nd generation iPad pros has well. The A10X still has a lot of unused power.

Thanks to advice from RUclips pages like yours, I realized my ideal iPad was the 2017 Pro 10.5: ProMotion, advanced camera, and four speaker stereo. I’m upgrading from the Mini 2 I bought in 2013. Apple certified refurbished. After my trade-ins, the Pro cost me $400!
I would go with iPad mini due to the size it would rock for gaming

Hi, I choose the iPad Pro 11” as a replacement for my MacBook Pro. I need power and portability. I organize a nature photography project with it as my communication device. I use it for RAW editing from my Nikon DSLRs and for that I need that performance. It is my main go to device. I still have a Mac around but it is only for access to old photo archives and to help me store away the images on my iPad. I hope iOS 13 is going to shine on all iPad.

You left out a very important thing which is the fact that the iPad Pro does not have a headphone jack. Also, what good is usb-c to most people. Everyone has things that do Fine with lightning. They will have to buy adapters and hubs etc to take advantage of usb-c and use their lightning cables. How will they plug in their wired headphones. Oh yeah, no problem just buy the $200 Apple wireless headphones. And anyone with an Apple Pencil they used on their old iPad Pro is useless for this one. No problem, just buy a new gen one for another $200. The iPad Air is the way to go. It has lightning and headphone jack and connects with the original Apple Pencil. Most heavy apps running just fine including video editing apps. Ok multitasking might suffer but who cares. Its not worth the crazy xtra money just to see 2 apps at the same time. Its not at all like it is on a laptop. Try running heavy apps on the air and see if you need a Pro. You will be surprised. The pro is only good for anyone with very specific needs, not just any artist. I think 95% of artists will be happy with the air. Is it called Air 3? Or just Air?

I have the iPad six generation and I love it it’s not a bad iPad
I have the Pro 10.5 from 2017, and think it is a worthy upgrade over the current air. My suggestion would be either buy the ultraportable iPad Mini (not that much more than $329) or if you have the budget, find a refurbished/new ipad pro 2017 for about the same price as current air, as you will appreciate the feature upgrades over the air and priced saved over the pro.

Yes completely agreed. I’m still using my iPad mini 2 with only 16GB that’s taken up by ‘other’. I edit videos/pics, use media, and a bit of a gamer. But on this I can’t even download most editing apps. I’m really Not sure which one is for me 🤔 any thoughts?? 😁🌷

People always seem to miss that the iPad Mini is actually the only iPad that offers a retina resolution....
Apple missed a trick not making a mini Pro. A lot of people buy the Mini for its size, not its price. The day they make an 8” or 9” Pro I’ll sell my laptop... Imagine a Retina Pro-Motion display, Pencil 2 support, USB-C and a solid Smart Keyboard. Heck, limit our storage option to 512GB max if you want to save specs for the bigger Pro models.

@@9to5Mac I still use a non-retina 15" MacBook Pro 2012 because of storage. I replaced original Hard Drive with a 1TB SSD and the optical drive with a 2TB HDD. Its no longer the powerhouse it used to be but I run FCPX on it and even maintain my Aperture Library on it still.
I know I'm a dinosaur to not move forward with Apple but I just can't figure out how to make a workflow that involves a tiny internal SSD and a dongle octopus to connect me to all the external accessories that I currently have INSIDE my old trusty MBP15.
Anyway, I'd love to see a video on MacBook selection. But to be honest I'd still probably not buy one yet. Every time I come close to upgrading then that keyboard reminds me that I should just wait. : D
I got a 105 IPad Pro it’s a 2017:and can’t afford to upgrade here in Canada we are looking at a lot more I wish that apple would have made the pencil capable for all the iPad pros but that is apple for you if I want a 2nd gen pencil I have to upgrade to a 2018 and this iPad works awesome it’s as fast as the new ones as far as I’m concerned
This is the iPad 6th Gen. There is a newer iPad available. It said updated for 2020.
There are so many problems with the new iPad Pro still. That product needs to be redesigned. I set for 3 hours inside of the apple store and three people were there with issues with that iPad. Replacing it and trying to solve there problems
Too much going on. I had my old iPads and I never ran into any problems with anyone of them. On the contrary they still work fine.

I have the 10.5 Pro. Put it in a case so those 4 killer speakers gets even more front sounding + that screen is my favorite media devise. Damn fast to render video too and other creative tasks. Just bad the apps in iOS is so crippled compair to desktops apps + no real file system. If also that was in the package it would be the only devive beside the phone i would need.

But upto i know 6th gen don't support that apple keyboard (maybe.confirm it from somewhere else too)
It got A10 fusion and non laminated reflective air gap screen
Whereas air overcomes these factors
If you have money and
If you need for content creation go for air
If you need for kids or have limited budget or want for just games(as i see now a days) or watching videos etc go for 6th generation
Even if you want for office work 6th generation should be fine (maybe Bluetooth keyboards are compatible)

How about the mini? I want it to last years and Ik with the a12 processor with its power it’ll last years to come whereas the 6th gen has an a10 which is already 2 and a half years old
