My laptop is running Ubuntu 22.04. at 15:57 you hit refresh and get no errors but I get "Error while listing vms: GNS3VM: Could not list VMware VMs: VMware is not installed (vmware or vmplayer executable could not be found in $PATH) Why is that?
I see there is a GNS3VM already set up in your VMware. Is there a link to set that up?

hello! make sure that you have setup your VMWare Player and Ubuntu server. I do this in the previous steps in the video. We aren't using the 'GNS3 VM' on the list, we are using the Ubuntu VM we created earlier in the video. If you don't see the Ubuntu server listed and you are getting the error "VMware is not installed" make sure that you have VMWare and the Ubuntu server up and running along with GNS3. I hope this makes sense and let me know if you have any other questions!

@@bowlercbtlabs Thanks for the reply. I made two VMs; one for just ubuntu and one for GNS3 VM. I wound up messing around with the General Settings in Edit > Preferences > Server and the network adapter on VMware. Finally got the two VMs to populate in GNS3 devices.

@@brandonkimball8310 gotcha... yeah i completely understand, sometimes the virtual environment that works for one person will not for another or it may just take a little tweaking to get it right! I'm glad you were able to get it working! A lot of these first couple videos are the hardest part, which is setting up the lab. But once you have it up and running the Ansible labs will be a piece of cake to do! Have you followed part 2 yet? That is the video in which I go into the ansible install/configuration... So I'm really interested in if it worked for you and your thoughts on the lab! Have a great day!
