Hi, interesting video.
What is confusing is the mechanical abrasion with just water doing better than the polish section at removing the coating. Did you IPA or panel wipe the sections before spraying water?

Yes, I did. Don‘t forget that water is also a solvent and that the polish may have caused the pad to just glide better. Also, Menzerna 3800 ist a very, very, very fine polish with only very little abrasives in it.

@@AndreasSchwarzinger yes water is a universal solvent but on its own of any liquid (unless distilled or deionised) will have the least amount of cut unless there is a lubrication emulsion at play. This is would be why the results are the way they are. The dry pad would of acted like sandpaper...hence we have different pads with different foams.
What would of been more accurate test would be to use a flush applicator pad or microfiber. This will of course have cut in itself but potentially less than a foam pad. I suspect my last statement is unfair as it depends what you are trying to simulate here.
