It's probably recorded directly from the PA (which is how most proffesional stage recording is done, which is also why for live dvds where there's also video feed usually there's also mics on the audience) you can feintly here the audience getting picked up by the microphone, but it's extremely quite since the microphone being pointed at them isn't designed for picking up audio at that range, that's called an overhead, a mic commonly used for choirs, he's just pointing a common stage mic at them, which is designed to catch sound waves within a meter or so.
