You realize that groceries cost cheaper in America than England right? Maybe not in LA but the normal american household is definitely far cheaper than england . Wayyy cheaper Even fast food.
The portion sizes are very different from what I've seen when I went to the UK. There are large drink was like a us small . At first it seemed cheaper until I started looking at how much I was actually buying for the price.

The uk and Europe and even other places have normal sized portions. Which was what you got in the uk “a normal sized potion” and I’m not being shady or anything I’m just letting you know that what you got as a large was just the normal size
god i wish i could be an influencer in LA rn mostly because of coachella and frank ocean also you talking abt people and stuff, i had a friend that was competitve with me in terms of youtube but she had 12k insta followers and i had 200 lmaoooo but i bet with 2.47M followers its hard to tell who's genuine anyways, you can still experience it with a tiny following which surrprised me ahah
