I know I’m probably in the minority here, but you’ve gone to Spain and so far we’ve had, English brekkie, fish and chips and now a roast, I appreciate that’s what you are known for, but was expecting a bit more variety. Will always continue to watch as love your videos, was just an observation and certainly don’t want to offend those loving the content

I just don’t understand Lee why anybody would want to eat a roast dinner (basically a Christmas dinner) in Spain in summer, especially when you filmed beautiful looking fish on the bbq, that’s what you should be eating,I’m baffled!!!

Lee, Looks average at best. The turkey looks like some sort of prosessed meat. Can't put my finger on it but looks like everything has just been dumped on the plate. I would like to determine how much gravy I would like and where to place it. A case in point is the Yorkshire pudding swimming in gravy. It is what it is I'll give it a score of 6.5. Can do better.
A plate of deliciousness, lovely thick sliced turkey, fresh vegetables. The gravy could've been thicker and a 2nd Yorkshire pudding would've been nice too. Overall a beautiful healthy roast dinner👍👌😁10/10
Looked a very tasty Sunday lunch I would give it 9 gravy should be separate and have what you want.
Why so tight with the Yorkshires, you need at least 3 or 4 that size😋

Benalmadena is my preferred location in Costa del Sol.
Lee I would be full soon as the plate was put in front of me. Put the veg in a separate dish and gravy in a sauce boat. Make sure when you’re in Fuengirola go to the Marina and fish alley and please go up to Mijas it’s beautiful 20 min bus ride. Also pop into Estark 92 just outside fFuengirola on way back to Benamadena. Love to know how many subscribers know the place,but I was single and lived in Fungerolia.loving vids bringing back lots of Memories so Thanks Tony.

Can't quite believe this Lee but my hubby and I with 3 friends are sitting on the big table in front of you, I have my back to you! I would have loved to have said hello!! I've always loved the Wigan Bar for my Sunday Roast and we always go there every time we visit Benalmadena (which is quite regularly! I had turkey as well, scummy! ❤

Looks ok but proper roast is with roast beef and Yorkshire puds too much cauliflower for my liking frozen yorki is definitely a no no and potatoes look frozen ones too 6/10 hope your enjoying your break

Solid 9 out of 10 Lee very nice had great holidays in benalmadena and torromolinos personally prefer torromolinos more cosmopolitan benalmadena more brittish
Sorry Lee, this is a 5/10, aunt bessies type of yorkshire, cabbage was the only `green` veg on the plate, swimming in poor quality gravy = not for me mate

Some people travel to other countries to experience a new way of life, a new culture and different food and drink. Others just want to go and eat catering quality meals they can get at home and surround themselves with their fellow countrymen in sunnier weather. Going to Spain to eat at the Wigan Bar 🤣.

As to your question as to what's our go-to roast dish (meat)...
depends on the day for me, and how I'm feeling. Turkey is the dish I would least choose though (love it... just not really a roast dinner thing for me).
Pork (has to be with crackling), beef, or lamb... and I'm very happy.
If I was facing the gallows, and was afforded just one last meal, it'd be a roast dinner with all the trimmings - apple crumble with custard and (to push the boat out) ice-cream for pudding. Now I'm salivating! 🤤
100%, love benalmadena, unfortunately after years if staying at Sarah sunset, with my husbands mobility we can't go there any longer . The tour bus is good takes you all over and up to the cable car. Enjoy.❤

Went to Benalmadena last year for a few days and thought it was great. Walked down to Torremilinos also and it was much better than I remember it being.

We went to The Carvery Company at Benalmadena its fabulous and obviously you put on what you want .I'd highly recommend it .

La isla is pronounced LA Eye la, people scoff Costa del sol and benidorm like Blackpool and skeggy, but it's home from home for 1000s, hasta luego hombre
As others have stated there’s only one place for a roast dinner and thats the carvery. Beats anything you will have in the Uk. All fresh ingredients and everything homemade. It’s in between toremolinos and Benalmadena. You will not be disappointed.
We enjoyed watching this today and your humour is on form again. The roast dinner looked so good.

Lee mate, just a personal note, The food looked lovely. We know what was on your plate but you don't have to keep doing close ups of what you are eating. Its just bad as pointing to things and naming them. Don't know why but it triggers me lol. I might have to learn how to just fast forward through that stuff as it's just my ocd. Many electric cars over there?

Turkey crown infused with liquid, aka cheap, processed turkey. Overall 4/10, the veg looked ok. The rest cheap stuff. This is an example of why people slate British food abroad.

Frozen Yorkshires and far too much cauliflower for my liking. I'd have probably gone for the lamb or beef in your place (although I've never had a Sunday roast while abroad, I don't see the point in hot weather it's comfort food for the British climate 😂)
Looked a great spread of food. Plenty of Turkey, good selection of veggies. has to be 10/10.

Sorry lee it looks disappointing on the eye. Pudding is poor and gravy flooding the plate , i like it in a jug to put my own on . 6 out of 10 max.
The carvery at montemar is much better .

I've paused it before you have given your rating. I've got a feeling you'll give it a 10/10.
A few things for improvement on the roast dinner, but I doubt you'll find better in the Costa del So.
So, here's my faults with it:
Roasties didn't look crispy, and were lacking depth. Would've preferred cheese/cheese sauce on the couliflower - and it didn't look roasted. Carrots don't look roasted (and a bit of glazing, such as honey, would complement them). Cabbage isn't required.
Positives:
Portion size (very generous!). Price... decent. Turkey looked spot on. Generous portion of gravy. Yorkshire pudding looked bang on, as did the mashed potato and stuffing. They serve John Smiths (probably not the ale to have in Spain, given the weather, but definitely complements a roast)! English-owned (and from the mighty Red Rose 🌹). Family-owned.

I'd give it a 9.5 (but would reduce the rating to an 8.5 if it was located back home).
I think it's deserving of its best roast dinner in the area, and I'd definitely go there if I was in the area.
Always happy to support family owned (and English... and will even stretch to supporting British. 🙂)
It looked ok, I prefer my gravy in a gravy boat so I can pour it where I want then its not swimming on the plate. I’d score it 8.5 or 9 out of 10.

I'd like to know if there's an Iceland supermarket near there. The roasties, yorkshire puddings look like Aunt Bessies, and the gravy looks like Bisto which they sell. Still, looks tasty
Another great vlog there Lee and that Roast dinner looked lovely. I'm not a fan of Cranberry Sauce and i like cauliflower cheeae rather than cauliflower on its own. I do enjoy turkey but would have opted for beef myself. But they're all my own personal preferences which doesn't take away how good this meal looked. 9.5/10 for me mate and glad you enjoyed. I call it the same Lee and always will lol. The prices on their menu are very good really, a great variety of options and a Liver & Onions which I love. A nice roast pork belly would go down well with all the trimmings. Must say the turkey roast looked pretty tidy and wouldn't be able to walk far after eating it lol. I would have to stay for an hour or so after to wash it down with a few pints. Great work man.

Too much watery gravy on that plate ruins the taste for me.
Looks very nice, although cauliflower with a cheesey white sauce would be spot on, instead of lots of prepoured gravy to compensate for the dry ingredients :)

I would never order a roast dinner in any restaurant. I do the best roast and don’t just have it on a Sunday, I have it when I fancy it. I always try something different when eating out, things that I don’t think about cooking myself. I’m not that regimented.

Yes great looking roast Lee only one nit pick do not like gravy in the yorkshire pudding makes it soggy like them crunchy but loads of meat and it looked great so a 10 from me.

It is indeed. I can't speak for all counties of England, but it certainly is in Lancashire. When I've travelled abroad (Australia, for example) it's been on offer too.

If you roast a full whole turkey properly, you will find it far tastier than chicken. Very healthy too. However the turkey in this video was poor processed meat, which should put anyone off!

Was looking at a week in October on costa del sol and prices were crazy! Nearly 4 1/2 grand for a decent hotel for a week!
Flying to Orlando to Margaritaville resort in a couple of weeks instead for £500 less!🤷🏻

Oh dear, looking the same colour as the cranberry sauce, more factor 50 needed. The food looked good but I would have to wait until later to eat. There's some really nice bars in Benalmadena in a square, not sure of the name but friends went there.

Didn’t look too bad and would have liked to see a bit more (different) veg as not enough greens, but the downer for me is coming with gravy in my yorkie as it makes them too soft too early. Looked a solid 8, marked down for the soggy Yorkshire and lack of veg variety.
Reminds me that I used to eat yorkies as a pudding on their own as a kid, with golden syrup!

Apart from me not fancying a roast dinner because of how hot it looks weatherwise as you were sweating like a glass blowers arse, I do love a roast dinner, but I'd have had lamb as I don't care for turkey. The dinner did look nice enough, though I've seen better but I've also seen worse. You can't tell from a video what the veggies were like, half done or properly done but I'd have liked some cheese sauce for the cauliflower, the turkey was cut too thickly and I'd prefer a gravy boat with more gravy as there's never enough for me. I'd give this a 7.5 but I would try that place if were ever there.

Good to know that like me you love turkey, a lot of people don't as they say it's dry. I suggest that those are the people that don't know how to cook it. 10/10 from me.
If you have a good look around torremolinos it's still OK lee but I do prefer benalmádena but don't matter where I stop just use the bus really cheap go all over
