Like Mr.Wonderful says invest in yourself. I personally think Chanel ready to wear is an investment. These pieces will be passed down to your daughter. Imagine what Chanel ready to wear will cost in 10-20 years. You’ll be grateful you have all these pieces. Thanks for sharing 🥰
we need to stop thinking about resale. in the 20th century, no one bought from the luxury industry considering if the item is a good investment based on resell..you'd buy an Armani jacket and wear it.... a Chanel suit and wear it... a Dior gown and wear it... We can definitely benefit from the preloved market though for purchases, congrats on the jacket!
Thank you! Exactly! You'd wear the item and use it! The financial investment potential of luxury items is all a lie we've been told. Rather, it's an investment in your life and personal style. In this age of overconsumption, we hardly use our items.
Hmm. Lots of food for thought here. I haven't purchased clothing on resale terms, just bags. There was a similar Chanel jacket from fall/winter 2023 but in red that I really loved. I am going to see if anyone is selling it! Thanks for this. Pretty jacket on you.
I just brought a vintage Yves St L suit for $130 preloved. I think it was from the 90s. It’s a good investment for my closet and I think if I were to sell it I could get more than I paid. We aren’t our parents and nor is this their time. If the mood strikes us or our tastes change we should be able to sell our items and this is why people should consider resale value.
wow! $130! That's a steal. Definitely true, it certainly is helpful if the item has a decent resale value in the event that you grow out of the item or it no longer serves you. Atleast you can move it one and retain money to put towards something else.
Love the green jacket! I've seen that belt and it's a great accessory! Great purchases! Enjoy! Got my Hermes Chypre sandals... love so much I got a second pair!
Thank you for sharing this consignment store … they have great items !! You look great. I am on a weight loss journey myself, but no baby was involved lol 😂
Lovely video, thank you 💐I am a big fan of hunting down items I missed out on on the pre-loved market. I have generally had good experience with Vestiaire and they seem pretty hot on checking that the items are as advertised, but I can't really say much about good their authentication is. However, I am not at all impressed with the Real Real. I ordered a Chanel cardigan that was advertised as new and unworn with tags. When it arrived the tags had clearly been cut and the button holes were ripped. They did refund me but because I am in the UK I had to pay duties which I have tried unsuccessfully to recover! The worst part of this experience was that they put it straight back on the site with the same description!
Thanks for watching and leaving a comment! Oh wow, that is outrageous that the Real Real would do that. I've heard of similar stories. I guess if we were in the US, shopping with them wouldn't be as risky. But it certainly is annoying that we have to factor in added duties and taxes that we never get back. We have a Canadian customs form we can fill out and send to CBSA, but in my experience, I never hear back from them.
I discovered you on Super Dacob .Enjoying your channel!Nice to see a fellow Canadian with great taste!Btw I have quite a bit from VC and they picked up on a fake fendi bag strap.Of all the authenticating bar Entropy ,I trust them.
Its nothing wrong about preowned . I do purchase from TRR and eBay, Fashionphile, I mean as long as it can be returned , I am ok. And 9 of 10 it’s always absolutely new or in perfect condition. So why not. Beautiful jacket. Great that you did not have to pay duties as well. Interesting, cause I still don’t understand why we are being charged taxes and duties on most websites 🤔 it’s such a scam. Ok so the belt I hope it works out for you. I had it and sold it. It’s great idea but not the execution. It just didn’t look right to me,and I have very small waist. I prefer the stretch belt. Although love those tied up aesthetics, especially from the new collection. Maybe they executed better the new belts. In that case I would definitely get it together with that big hat , which I think that’s such an amazing detail, to elevate any outfit 😜 Have a blessed day🙏❤️
Thank you! Yes, I usually find that ready to wear bought from consignment is often new or like new. So it works out for anyone who missed out on a style! Yes! The duties collected at checkout is a scam! Because they pocket that charge as profit. That’s interesting about the belt. I also love the stretch belt I have. But right now, the ones I have feel too restrictive on me post partum. This will do! It’s mostly decorative as opposed to functional lol.
TRR now wants you to pay for the privilege to return items so their a No for me with Ready to wear. I purchased a Hermes Ready to wear piece size 42 on the label. It looked like the item was washed in the WASHER and was now a size 38. Final sale no return and they didn’t disclose the condition. It’s the bait and switch for me that’s a NO. The Real Real is now the Temu of Luxury Resale to me.
@@tarreemhacaruso2687 well I would not buy anything that’s more expensive and I can’t return it, unless I know very well the brand, the item and it’s NWT. 99% I buy only NWT or excellent condition. But mostly if I can return it. Yes it sucks that have to pay back shipping, but when you can get like one of more recent collections rare item half price in excellent condition , I see that some risk is worth
i personally do not like buying preowned. I don't care how much i want it i'm not paying over retail for a used item no thanks and most of the time it's over priced and probably has damages and forget me buying preowned clothes i can't i have ocd i'm so weird i think about dead cells and skin problems and what if it's transmitable. however a coat and maybe a chanel bag classic flap that's no more then 2yrs old and half the price is a deal and if it has no signs of wear i might get it and i have but i always return them bc it doesn't feel like that feeling when you bought it from the boutique and it's still a lot of money i don't it doesn't feel good
That’s understandable - yuck dead skin cells. But, it depends on what you’re buying. Most items still have tags on them and are literally new. Majority of what I buy is new from the boutique, so I’m not deprived of that boutique experience. And let’s not forget, items we try on in boutique have been tried on by others on store before! This particular piece was like new. I also don’t want to pay over retail for preowned either.
@@therealshakeen that's true i know but most of the time they don't have it on for that long while trying on i'm just ocd lol my mom is like calm down we're always shedding cell even where we sit i'm super ocd though lol
oh and forget me buying birmingham or kelly preowned they are crazy selling those prices i rather not have one then buy a way over priced bag that i can't get in store bc hermes is ridiculous with there rules it's crazy to buy those bags over retail and they most likely already been worn so bottom line if i don't get a hermes bag from boutique i won't have one unless it's selling brand new with authentication guaranteed in perfect condition and retail price on a preloved site but that's not gonna happen bc they over price them and im not paying retail price for a hermes birkin or kelly from freakin 2009-2019 for 8k and up insane no thank you lol
@@tarreemhacaruso2687 yes i know it's possible but i just don't believe in spending thousands of dollars on a very very old item that has been used over and over only exception to me is a vintage authentic birkin or kelly that's no more than 4k and i haven't found anything in that price range more than that for something old and used not worth it to me for some it's worth it but not to me i want it brand new and if brand new i'll spend 15k on it but only brand new from the boutique where i know its authentic and i know my name is under that bag and im the first ever wearing it :)

Buy classic pieces and they’ll never go out of style. That what I do. I’ve worn mine for years.
