The combo chipset one is good to start with too, its 8k energy links to sell, so a couple hours of looting, and you'll have more links than you'll know what to do with. The furnace one i didnt bother with because i can just make more furnaces if i want faster output.
Memetics mastery can be game breaking. Solar drill, Sulfur to acid, electric furnace specialization... and many more. I mean, smelting something for 45 sec, AND it works on 2 stack at same time..... Instead of basic 8 min smelting for 1 stack. And there is only 5 rerolls for an entire season... 1 each week if you do the season journey thing... AND the masteries are completely random.... it is a bullshit system.
i heard that ppl usually lvl a toon to 50 only to see the meme bonuses they get , roflmao. Yea its too random. They must find a way to change it, What if you gameplay style does not sync with the bonuses you get ?

Man, they changed memetics a lot because the backpack thing isnt even in the game anymore. Probably for the best considering it's a survival game.
