Ellie wants me to make sure you know that she was super annoyed with herself and licking and picking her lips. 😂 We talk about this later too. We're grateful for your understanding with our decision. Ellie and Jared I can’t stand when people ask me about what I buy! I went to a wal greens for a pregnancy test and the man asked me so are you excited about this or is this an accident??!? I was like um I’m not telling u that! That’s none of your business! What if I wasn’t even buying the test for me???? Not cool at all.

My pet peeve is when people leave their shopping cart in the middle of the parking lot. You push it around the store for an hour but you can’t push it a dozen yards from your car to put it up?! Lol makes me crazy.
Huge pet peeve: People leaving negative comments on vloggers videos. I follow several families and it seriously makes me nuts to read the icky comments. (this goes for local FB community groups too). I just can't stand negativity in general ...love you guys!

This ☝🏻!!!! I LOATHE when people are like, “You are nothing without us.” Omg are they psycho?? Why do people “care” that much! When in reality, they aren’t “caring” at all!

I read someone down below that by being two days behind he can edit during the day like a normal work day instead of editing late at night and posting in the morning. So basically now he is filming during the day, spending the night with Ellie and then editing footage the next morning.

My biggest pet peeve is I HATE the sound of people chewing. It’s puts an anger in me I didn’t know existed and it can seriously make me cry. I can understand it’s my own problem, and usually I have to leave the room when it happens. It’s really annoying. Lol

As a former cashier, I can say no matter what a cashier does, it's wrong. You can mind your own business and people think you are rude. You can try to have a conversation, but it's hard to have a conversation with a complete stranger in 5 minutes time, so you comment on their purchase and people get mad about that, too. Some people want everything bagged in a separate bag. Some want you to shove as much in one bag as possible. You can't please everyone, especially when every customer has a separate idea of what good customer service is. Don't even get me started on trying to sell people the store credit card. Those quotas are unrealistic. The cashier is trying the best they can.
I’m a manager at checkouts in the highest ranking supermarket in nz. Our team is trained not make comment about items in a questioning or invasive way. If it’s stuff for a birthday party that’s a conversation starter, if it was tampons or personal products just not mentioning makes it so much nicer for the conversation and customer service is highly important.

I never comment. But I have to say this. Ellie's attitude is SOO annoying. It's clearly that she hates vlogging. She wants to be selfish for Jared. Well guess what, we all have to work. Some of us can't be a stay at home mom. So we don't see our children all day like you do!!! Our husbands aren't with us most of the day.. Jared edited 8 hours in the hospital, but after that he was with you to help you because he does RUclips. My husband had to leave after 3 days to work. There just isn't any connection like it used to be. Always complaining about what to share what not to share, when to film when not to film in the day so you have more time.. Like seriously if you don't like it, stop it! You certainly don't have to do it for the viewers..
The 2 day delay doesn't bother me that much. But surely once the delay is in place, Jared will still be editing every night? Like Ellie complaining about Jared having to work on Christmas night, just because he's not editing the vlog from the 25th, he'll still be editing the vlog from he 23rd or whatever? I really don't think Ellie realises how lucky she is. Complaining about Jared having to work at night - forgetting he gets to spend all day every day with his family. Something lots of families do not get because...you know...work commitments. Nobody wants people to get burnt out or exhausted but if that's the case just take some time off. It's Ellie's attitude that bothers me more than the delay.
He is not going to edit over night, he is doing it during the day with everything else he does, so she can enjoy him, and hee can rest at niight

Why are so many daily vlogers complaining about how hard their life is and how hard vloging is. I would love to work from home with my family around me all day. You say your thankful but you really sound annoyed. Just Sayin!
L M agreed. I get it’s a lot of work (according to them) but imagine a normal 9-5 job where one or both parents are out of the hous everyday! I think these youtubers would explode trying to balance that. They live a very privileged life as youtubers yet still find time to complain.
With their channel floundering as it has been recently...they’re going to have to reframe their thinking! Jared may end back at a regular job sooner than he thinks.
Jared can't go back to a regular job though. If Ellie can't handle the two kids she has now without his help, how will she handle 3 without it? Theres no way.
I tried it. Im a single mum and if i didnt start editing at 6pm id never sleep. Took me til 2am to finished editing and hit upload to youtube. Then up at 7am. Filming. Finding things to fill vlogs with. Its exausting
But their kids fans...think..omg yea make a break!! of course...your is work so hard :D

I agree. I think it’s a burden and pressure on the whole families. I enjoy them but I think that amount of pressure and feeling beholden to others is not good.

a pet peeve: when I'm walking across an intersection and the cars waiting to turn right rev their engine at me as if they expect me to run and get out of their way. I am disabled and have a walker. It's just rude that these drivers can't respect my need to spend maybe 20 seconds more getting across that lane especially considering that I have a green light and they have a red light. Do you ever have that happen to you, fellow E+J viewers?
It never ceases to amaze me what drivers in the USA get away with! If someone did that to an elderly or disabled person here in the UK, they would get pulled over by the cops for aggressive driving! It's shocking that any driver would think that that's acceptable driving behaviour!

I think vloggers that have been running a week behind have been a lot happier and not so stressed to get that vlog up by the next day. Your marriage is number 1! Nothing else should ever come in the way of that.
My biggest pet peeve is when people make fun of special needs kids. I want to be a special needs teacher and I love those kids so it makes me so mad when people make fun of them.

Reason I do not watch as much just find it lost the connection with you , but starting watching again see if I can get the connection , don’t no if it’s seems like u don’t feel the same about vloging but love this blog
I agree. It feels like they resent the "work" and find the audience annoying. I know they say they are grateful, but it doesn't feel like it. Maybe Jared is, but Ellie is not. The vlogs already feel fragmented and secretive, like we can't ever know what secret project is going on. I miss seeing their normal day. Bonnie's vlogs are much better at achieving this and she even has a delay, but I feel she does a better job of capturing normal moments so it's ok. I hate watching a vlog and feeling like I've missed something.
Ive been a viewer for years and don’t normally comment but yes since ellie has had her miscarriage she is totally different on youtube Like its an inconvenious to her now and i understand its a very very upsetting when i miscarriage happens but somethings just off and doesn’t feel the same anymore i try to watch every day but have no interest at times cause its just different.

I love Ellie and Jared and would watch them every day since subscribing a year ago, but lately I just don't feel connected to them. I honestly feel like the vlogs have gotten a lot better over the last month after the miscarriage there was a definite disconnect but I sort of get it, they especially Ellie gets a lot of hate, when they were completely forthcoming and open like when they announced their first pregnancy in May right away they got crucified for it. Seems their damned if they do and damned if they don’t. I’ve noticed recently a lot more sincerity and just better content over the last month but that’s just me. I couldn’t imagine doing what they’ve done every single day for 4yrs and I could see the videos just being plain better if he has a whole day to edit as far as the projects it seems like they work with other companies and simply aren’t allowed to say what they are until a certain date. That’s just my 2 cents but I understand everyone else’s views as well.

Of course I support you in being 2 days behind. As long as I get a daily dose of ellie and jared it doesn't matter when it was filmed. Sometimes if I'm too early befor your vlogs come out I watch old vlogs just to see ur family. I really appreciate all the content you put out, you are such a fun good role model family to watch and I want vlogging to be easy on you. Thanks for letting me and all your other million subscribers be a part of your life!
My husband works every single holiday, he works until late at night. You guys are so lucky you both can work from home and spend all that time together. It seems kind of silly that you guys are complaining about having to edit. BUT I love you guys and will support you always ❤️

Don't stress about posting holiday videos the next day! Just stick to your 2 day behind schedule. It's really not a deal at all, and that way you can just keep on your normal schedule and not stress about it! You have the ability to make your own hours, which is a wonderful gift. Make them how it works best for your family! When my husband had a job that required him to edit late in to the evenings it was awful. Having the evenings together and going to bed together is so wonderful.

As a solid viewer and lover of your whole family, this makes me sad. It made me sad when Ruby did it, I was devastated when Bonnie did it. And am feeling the same emotions with this news. When delayed vlogs happen, it feels like a disconnect. I realize you guys started this for yourself, and continue to document because you love the memories for your families. But without your audience, you wouldn't have what you do. And as a long time dedicated member of your audience, I️ can't help but feel frustrated. It just doesn't feel the same.

I loved the vlog style today. It felt very relaxed and just bringing us along. I loved it...reminded me of a few years ago.
The more you worry about what people think the less genuine and enjoyable the vlogs are. Just do you! When and how you want to!
Selfishly I would choose for the vlogs to stay one day behind because it helps us feel more connected, especially on the holiday and birth ones. However when Elle described what it's like for you guys to be apart on holidays and during/after your births, I totally understood better! You MUST do what is best for your family:) P.S. I didn't find you guys (via Calvin's birth vlog) until Calvin was almost one, and I still bawled like a baby and felt an instant connection..... so whenever you put the videos out, they will be amazing!!
Dont preach you're vlogging for your own documentation and make it seem like a burden to upload for "us" subscribers. You get paid big bucks for that. (see social blade Ellie and Jared for those who are interested how much they make each video).
Kangaruss I often wonder if people think they are somehow sacrificing financially to put vlogs up. It's pretty clear Ellie's resentment about vlogging comes from their inability to take time off like her sisters do. Think if the family and make better financial decisions and maybe then they can have more time off! Most people aren't spending over $100 in monthly Lush bombs.
They act like they have to make their videos public lol. They could vlog daily, upload it and still view it on their own on private.
Honestly, I don’t like watching old videos. I’ve found myself slowly distancing myself from watching videos on this channel and it’s really saddening.

I love the idea of being two days behind and you guys getting more time together as a married couple and with your family. It is important for you to do what is best for you. If people cant wait a couple days to see a video then they'll have to get over it!
Ellie, I noticed you putting on your makeup and wanted yo give you a little advice. If you keep a spray bottle of isopropyl alcohol and spray your lipstick after you use it, it'll reduce the likelihood of you getting another cold sore next time you use the lipstick. This is coming from someone who also gets cold sores, so no judgement just trying to help.
I don't care when the vlog is filmed I just enjoy seeing you guys daily! I have learned so much from you and your family about how me and my husband want to raise our kids and and just enjoying life in general! Thanks for the videos guys! Love you!

How could people be actually mad that the vlogs are 2 days behind? That boggles my mind. I’m just grateful for the vlogs. You don’t owe us your life at all - the fact that you share it is wonderful. I’m 2 weeks behind on editing my videos lol. Editing is the part that takes up so much time and I don’t think people really get that. I agree with Ellie on the holiday and birth vlogs- spend that time with family. True followers will still watch your Christmas video on the 27th instead of the 26th. Some people even get their present unboxings up lunch time - think of the sacrifice. They didn’t spend any actual time with their kids after the gifts were opened - just ran to edit

I wanted to mention the fact that there are regulations on working hours and holidays for normal jobs, and because you don't have a boss that regulates that, you have to find your way yourselves, so it's totally understandable for you to need time during Christmas etc., I hope people consider this before saying things like "this is your job"

I think it is wise for y'all to put your relationships and health before all else, especially since you have the option to do so. I, your viewer, am grateful you share your life story with us, and want to see y'all happy and healthy :)
I understand the reasons for been behind/delayed vlogs but personally it puts me off watching as I see what you're doing on instagram or twitter and then have to wait a few days. I find that it makes me skip watching parts of the vlogs or even not watching at all.
I have a list of pet peeves!
1. When people don't put their carts away at the supermarket.
2. When people crunch ice in their mouth.
3. When my family puts their dirty close next to the hamper/dirty clothes bag instead of IN it.
4. When people say, " I seen it" instead of " I saw it."
1. My pet peeve is people who think they are better than anybody else! I just want everyone to understand that we are all the same in Gods eyes!
2. I’m totally okay with y’all being a couple of days behind! I think this will help your family be less stressed and it’ll even make it better for Jared to focus on fun editing things for the vlogs instead of just trying to get it up.
Maybe for holidays and birthdays, edit them the next morning and just upload slightly later in the day so they still go up the next day but you don't need to stay up late editing and can enjoy the holiday together without working!
I think that posting 2 days later is fine. On one condition, if you do have another baby, you post a PHOTO day-of. We're patient, but not THAT patient 😉💙
I never really comment on videos but I just wanted to let you know that I support your decisions. Family should always come first and I think that you guys are doing whats best for your family. We are just grateful to watch your videos when you put them up. Also, I agree with Ellie, spend the holidays and birthdays with and enjoying your family, we will watch the videos, it doesn't matter when they go up.
One of my biggest pet peeves is when people mess up "your" and "you're" either while writing an e-mail or texting. Not to be a grammar or spelling snob, it just annoys me!!

Most of my pet peeves have to do with driving, no blinker, not going once the light turns green because they’re on their phone, and going waaaaaayyyy under the speed limit. I don’t have time for those shenanigans! Hahahaha
And about the timing of vlogs, do what you need to for your marriage. My husband and I are different schedules and I hate not going to bed together. When our son goes to bed that’s our time, but with my husbands schedule, he’s up so early that he goes to bed really early too. It’s tough on us, so if I know if we had the chance to change things, we definitely would. As for holidays, I saw a comment about a “sneak peak” vlog and that’s a great idea. Even 2 minutes and that way there’s not much to edit. Keep being the wonderful family you are! I’m so glad I found your channel a few months back. I go back and forth trying to catch up with old videos but then also watch the new daily ones as well. :)
I think birthday vlogs being behind isn't a big deal but the holiday ones are what I look forward to the most. Especially thanksgiving as it's somewhat diffrent from the Canadian one. Watching it on the same day is just extra special and gives you the holiday vibes but if it's like watching the Macy's parade on Sat...it loses its appeal. But you do you, I get it. I`ll still watch since 2014!
Maybe you guy's should sit down and have a long talk. Ask yourselves these questions are you still as passionate about filming like you were three years ago and can you see yourself doing this for more years to come? I'm grateful for the vlogs and time you spent putting into these vlogs over the years but if this is starting to take a toll on your life instead of vlogging everyday maybe you can cut down on the filming ?
gina julian they hit it big so they don’t HAVE to do it anymore.. before they were just working up to this point 🤷🏻♀️ stopped being a hobby and started becoming a job, got rich and now it’s just whatever. I’ve followed them for 4 or 5 years now and love them as people... but the blogs have changed.
I’m pregnant and incredibly hormonal, so a lot of things bother me right now. But right in this moment it’s other peoples negativity that drive me bonkers! When they offer their rude insight and comments when it wasn’t warranted or asked for. You guys are amazing! I will always love you guys, regardless of what you change with your channel :) Your family comes first!
I am SO for the delayed schedule! We have started doing that also and it makes my life so much less stressful!!! Holidays are even delayed. At first I really stressed about that, for the same reason as you, but realized that I need it and so many other RUclipsrs are doing it. That means that my videos don't stand out for being late! Make sense?! Lol I just need more me and family time and it works!
I really love your family dynamics and how you live your daily life so if being a few days behind helps foster that dynamic even more I am ALL for it. I can sympathize with how Ellie feels - she just wants some alone time with her husband after the kids go to bed. That is understandable. In the end this is your job BUT you are your own boss so you do YOU! I am a E+J fan for life or until you stop vlogging or youtube goes away or Jesus comes back whichever comes first. I am there!
Not only is daily vlogging exhausting on the editors end, but your kids are getting to an age where it can be hard to film everyday! I had to give up on daily vlogs bc my kids need me more. So now I try to post 3 vlogs a week. Whatever works for you guys.... You're the ones that inspired me to vlog in the first place!
I don't mind the vlogs being behind two days at all. I always felt it must be hard to stay up editing! Whatever is best and healthiest for you two should be good enough for all of your viewers! I do like it though when vloggers put the date at the beginning of the video if they aren't up the next day. Whatever is best for you guys though, I just love getting to see you all! 😋💕
Crazy story but my dad had a foot fungus and I got him a cream to make it go away and then the pharmacist told me " your partner should use this cream too" - it was so inappropriate of her to say that out loud in the shop where other people where standing - as I don´t had as she assumed a fungus you can imagine where so that my partner should use it too. I was so uncomfortable for me having that conversation - I just wanted to get foot cream for my father and she tells me something like that in front of at least 5 other people in the pharmacy.
One of my biggest pet peeves is when I schedule something with someone and they arrive late with no word. It’s almost like they don’t appreciate my time and effort. Always respect people’s time you never know when you will lose that opportunity. Hope everyone is having a beautiful day!

I think my biggest is when people waste food! So many people go hungry every day when I see people waste food, I do not know how to explain it, it just makes me so very sad.
I kind of like having holiday vlogs up a few days later. It extends the holiday by just a few more days so I feel like i get to enjoy the holidays a few more days after it has actually passed. Y'all do what's good for your family and your relationship.

My boyfriend and I don’t go to bed at the same time often because we are on different schedules. Going to bed at the same time is so important, I love that you guys have put yourselves first. I’ll still be here no matter what!

We also decided to do ahead vacation days where we put it in the description and say from this day to this day we will be on vacation which is normal for jobs. Anyways I'm glad you guys are discussing and working things out! ❤️

My worst pet peeve is when you're at a grocery store and you find a parking spot but someone left their grocery cart in it and then you can't park there. I also hate when people walk really slowly in front of me
Ok, I CAN'T be the only wifey who will say this pet peeve. When my husband has to POOP at the absolute worst time. I.e. when we need to leave! 😂😂

I'm a daily vlogger and I upload every night, the footage that I got throughout that day. I've always done it that way and I don't understand what difference it would make to be one or two days behind. I'm really not trying to be rude, I just honestly want to know. Even if you're a day behind, you still have to edit every day/night? You'll just use footage that is a little older (and for me that doesn't work as well, because I don't remember the clips as well and that makes editing take longer). I certainly don't mind you guys being a few days behind! You do you!
Do what works for you. Your marriage and family should take first place. And I know those days too when the kids are hard work. Your doing a great job.
Pet peeves: I don't like it when people come to an almost complete stop in the road and signal just as they are turning. Another would be when your family member forgets to finish doing their laundry and you go to open the washer and there are wet clothes in there already so you have to either put them in the dryer or rewash them if they stink.
I love that you are taking time for yourselves and your upload schedule! You guys seem more happy in the vlogs lately, you guys are so amazing and down to earth!

Yes Arizona does not do it. It was so nice working there this last winter. When day light savings came around we did not have to Jump an hour ahead. It was so nice.
I think the two days is totally fine around the holidays. Even more it gets so busy for you guys and even us. I always feel like I get so behind with the videos I want to watch on the holidays because of the timing of wanting to be with family. Why do I get to be with my family and you guys do not. I get it. Do what makes you feel happy. Just don’t stop vlogging completely
No, Arizona doesn't do daylight savings. I live in AZ so its nice not to have to worry about the time change. But, ive grown up with daylight savings, so i don't really know what the purpose of it is.

The time change has to do with farming. Farmers need the longer days for harvesting their crops. The argument now is not that many people doing farming anymore so why do we still need the longer day So?
Jared, I vote for Ellie's idea. Take your Holidays and Birthdays off. We all will be busy with our own lives during holidays anyhow. We will all catch up afterwards. No sweat. Relax. Enjoy your family time.

Being two days behind I don't think is a big problem but please, please, please don't go more than that such as a week. I have had to stop watching your sister and other vloggers that are a week ahead as its too confusing and I don't feel relaxed anymore along with the fact that during the holidays I'm not interested in Halloween a week after I'm more looking forward to Christmas (I'm from the uk so I don't celebrate thanksgiving just go straight to Christmas :)) so makes the content boring. I personally use your videos to distress and get rid of some anxiety before bed so fully appreciate your videos being daily and always enjoy every second of them!! Thanks for a great vlog guys and for being so open and honest

No more than 2 days. Any more than that ppl get uninterested. I won’t watch vlogs that are a week late. By that time people have watched your Instagram. Other family vlogs and already know how your day was. Feels like a rerun.
So true! I found that with Bonnie’s channel. I see her day-to-day on insta and two days later I see it again on her vlog.

Guys, you don’t have to do daily vlogs. You could also do weekly vlogs, or vlog like three days a week. But please don’t feel pressured to do daily vlogs, I get that you want to have something to look back on, but if this is getting hard and stressful for you guys than you should take a step back. We would understand. Don’t feel pressured to do daily vlogs for the viewers, it’s your life, enjoy it, take time for yourself, do whatever you want to do. Love you guys.
Daylight saving: creates longer days in the summer for farmers to work more hours when the weathers good and it's time for harvesting things (it is outdated now though, doesn't really affect too many people anymore)
