35th National Memorial Day Concert broadcast on PBS on May 26, 2024.
Before Jamey Johnson was a torchbearer of traditional country music, he was a United States Marine. He served in the Corps from 1994 until 2002, reaching the rank of Corporal.
Jamey Johnson wrote the song “21 Guns” with Jim “Moose” Brown about a year ago, according to his website. Attending funerals of his fellow Marines inspired the song.

No words for a song as beautiful and meaningful! My 5 cousins served in Vietnam but were never the same! I thank my father Jesus Christ that they came home! My brother served & my husband served 23yrs proudly. My heart is so proud for those that gave all! May they sit at the right side of God!

My heart love and hugs goes out to all my Viet Nam Brothers out there. In Viet Nam I saw way to much killings 24 hours day and night, bombs, mine fields, the rain, the heat of the jungle, this was over 50 years ago, I am still a mess us kids at age 20 killing in Nam was a f.. nightmare. We came back to our country, who treated us like shit .For those of us who made it back to the USA, we were hated for doing a war job we were forced to do

Honorable mention to my Husband, Father, Grandfather, and four Uncles. Thank you, for your service. I love ya'! We forget the Spouses back home who hold it down. Thank you, for your service to our country. To my friends who are grieving this day. May you find peace in knowing we care. Be careful on the roads. We'll make it through this as well. Blessings...❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

What about 66 my good man? Was just telling a neighbor today i was born 50 years too late. I should be buried so I wouldn't have to live through this crap.

      I have 2 older brothers 65 and 70.
We just shake our heads. This country is literally fucked. 60 and 70 years ago this country was the strongest country in the world but now while China still teaches its children to breakdown AK47 and run urban tactics games with laser tag guns our kids don't know what the fuck gender they are or if they need a dick or not.
Dress up like cats at school and don't know what fucking bathroom they belong in.
I hope I live long enough to watch this country have it's
      RED DAWN
the Chinese fighting women can kick our new army's ass in hand to hand combat.
Every man and woman that fought for this country over the years have all died in vain and every military person that fought knows it's true.
This isn't no country for old men that's for sure.
