Frank played with a wonderful lineup of Johnny Kidd and The Pirates but not the one who recorded the original. With the Pirates he did record the song several times both live and in the studio but Clem Cattini played on the original.
Mr Kidd would be proud or even s all over. Very hard edge which is where he’d be today. Great slide work. Ellen Jewell does an amazing version too. Woooo
Hardly. First recorded in 1960 by Johnny Kidd & The Pirates ruclips.net/video/n327ncoU_ZU/видео.htmlsi=SpHu_ON8XpDv0RC4 Still, Gang Band did a good job of it. :)
I can't find any trace of the Beatles recording but I would be amazed if they had not done it live at some point given that it was such an iconic number one in 1960.
Dear Mr. Drummer, I also am a drummer so when I say I like your licks, you can know I mean it. But I have a thought.... Does every rockabilly drummer use a minimalist kit? When rockabilly started... Back before people coined it rockabilly even, a standard Kit consisted of a kick, a hi-hat, a snare, a ride tom and floor tom plus a couple cymbals. My question is, has a minimalist drum kit been etched into the genre to the point to we're if I were to join a rockabilly band, would I have to get rid of 14 pieces of my 18 piece kit? I've lead a somewhat secluded wife for the last two decades and didn't even know there was this neo rockabilly things happening. But I like it basically because it's who I am. I wouldn't even have to buy any retro clothing. Plus, I played drums & guitar and did vocals in a 50s show group name of big Al & the Hi-Fi's a long, long time ago. Actually, I believe the band is still around after 50 years. We were greasers. We were DA's instead of pompadours but looking at everything, I can see there was a thin line between rockabilly and what we did. People showed up dressed in poodle skirts White Sox and white t-shirts. We never broke character. It didn't matter if we were on or off the stage. I'm just saying I might start something or try to find something that exists already. But I go absolutely crazy if I was limited to a kick, a snare, a hat and a cymbal I mean I can get by with another cymbal and a couple toms, but.....
live show is great. get your funk on !
Ай , молодцы ! С весельем и отвагой ! Не испортили шедевра !
Originality at its best ! Awesome sound/band . They got the sound and they got the LOOK !!!!!
Fucking love it! New paths to old roads. The blending of styles is where it's at for me. So great to hear others who feel the same way
Absolutely brilliant! My cousin Frankie Farley played the drums on the original version......

Not much new (to me) catches my interest these days but this band ROCKS.
Anybody know what became of them?
Эти гитарные Переливы ,как Бальзам на Душу ...!!!
breathing new life into old songs, hot hot hot
not hearing the "new life" anywhere. Just out of key lead guitar & sax & unimpressive lead vocal.

The Beatles covered this song back in the early Sixties! Good job!
I Dont Recall That ....
I can't find any trace of the Beatles recording but I would be amazed if they had not done it live at some point given that it was such an iconic number one in 1960.
No they didnt. The Guess Who recorded this.
I remember that too. I was a big beatle fan from '63 till the break up. Paul sang lead on it.
@@rp7326 Exactly!
no Wanda Jackson, but there is only one, still all in all, a great cover!

Wow
Play that funky music white boy.....
👌😍😍😍🇦🇺
Where is this band from?
deliziozaaa
maestros
👌😍😍😍🇦🇺❤️❤️❤️
Listen listening to this sweetheart gal makes me shake all over
What is band name ?
Охуенно!
She's cute. But this ain't The Guess Who
Too many guitars!
Bass, Lead and Rhythm. So what's your problem?
The mixing and recording absolutely suck on this, big time.
Great band and sound. But they just stopped.
The guy on the Squire Strat just isn’t very good. Leads and slides were sliding out of key all the way through
bad job ..... there's only one version , Johnny Kid and The Pirates ..
The Guess Who recorded this song as well.
This is a direct cover/lift of Jack White and Wanda Jackson's own cover of this tune (imo what Elvis could've done if he'd lived to the present day)
Grauenvoll, was hat der krach mit Rockabilly zu tun.👎Und ein E-Bass.
A banda é boa o vocal é muito ruim
Shakin All Over ist von haus aus kein Rockabilly, was soll der schrott hier?
So what’s your problem now? If you don’t like it just leave this channel and keep quiet. Thx.
