Mookie was no longer hitting behind Shohei at that point with the giant lead and no rest during a 10 game stretch--it was Kiermaier. So absolutely just a ballsy/respectful move.
Entirely different circumstances when they walked Shohei to pitch to Mookie. The game was still on the line then and in this case there was no reason to walk Shohei because at that point the game was over for them anyways. I understand completely why they chose to pitch to Mookie instead of Shohei................even if it didn't work out!
