What a great story! The trustafarian ruined it, likely story. The face tattoo, oh man LOL! Was that Bad Brains show with the new vocalist at that time? If you recall....I think Chuck Mosely (Faith No More) was in BB for a minute before Israel Joseph who was on the Rise record. Interestingly enough, Beau Hill, in interviews, who did that Rise record, stated that Dr. Know was one of the most difficult guitar sounds he had to get as a producer, too bad he didn't go into specifics in the video interview I heard him say him say it. I saw them live right when HR rejoined in the mid 90's, on a tour stop they made in New Orleans, and man oh man, they were definitely trying to outdo each other on stage with being just re-united, the fury of that show was something. electric energy
It's the story of a million bands back then. Acting like you made it before you made it, killed things for a lot of people. I checked out the video of the Limelight show. Rosary Violet definitely had the right vibe for what was coming.
Hey there I’m curious, did you know Andy Timmons? And have you heard his solo music? And how well financially did Danger Danger do as far as being who they were with their first album and things of that nature, back then?
I didn’t really know Andy. I was friends with Bruno and Steve . I have heard some of his solo stuff. He’s a very talented player. I have no idea of the D2 financial scene. I’m sure they couldnt have made much money. Maybe Bruno and Steve as songwriters made some publishing money but couldnt be much. No one made any real money in those days unless you were Bon Jovi or Def Leppard huge.
@ Thanks my brother! I really enjoy your channel, and look forward to the next video! And thanks for the info! I remember seeing Alice Cooper back in 1990 and the opening band was DD but I missed them because the line for Alice Cooper was way too long!
They are very good and should have made it. Thanx for letting us know about them
