I have relatives involved in the transcommunities (however distantly), and even I don't sit around discussing it. Recently, we were sitting around the table working on what gets paid, when the lights went out. We jumped up saying I thought we paid that bill, and each scrabbling to find the paperwork...then we found out construction down the road made a mistake. Life should not be your first thought, 'did I pay that bill?'

Ashlie Babbit's mother showed up in DC with a group of six people to protest her daughter's death. She was arrested for protesting in the middle of the street where she was endangering herself and traffic.
Sad! I saw that and she practically put her self into the handcuffs after ignoring repeated warnings by the officers involved that day. I see a lot of police videos that go wrong. And there is nothing that I could see that was nefarious in concerning the police response. She just didn’t know when to get out of the middle of the street which kind of reminds me of my parents reminding me not to play in the middle of the street when I was very young! Like mother like daughter ignoring police in both of their situations… They’re both on camera showing their ass off. One got off easy the other one had to go to jail.
How terrible of a mother and person do you have to be to protest your daughter being killed by police while she was breaking into the capitol building to violently influence an election?

I have relatives involved in the transcommunities (however distantly), and even I don't sit around discussing it. Recently, we were sitting around the table working on what gets paid, when the lights went out. We jumped up saying I thought we paid that bill, and each scrabbling to find the paperwork...then we found out construction down the road made a mistake. Life should not be your first thought, 'did I pay that bill?'
I can totally relate, I've had those gut wrenching moments when I was younger and lights would flicker...
Over Christmas both of my debit cards from 2 different banks didn't work and it brought that horrible feeling back of "oh no my account is empty!"
There were glitches at both banks it turned out, all was fine, but it is a sickening feeling!!!

Thanks, Farron. Here in Ireland for more than 7 years now, some of us transpeople (binary transpeople over 16) have had legal rights. We're legally recognized for what we are, we have the legal right to live according to our nature. And Irish society isn't falling apart over the question. There aren't any stories in the news about transpeople running amok and creating problems.
We just go about our lives and cisgender people go about their lives as they always have. Nobody gets worked up about this. It's a non-issue. Life goes on.
Same here in Canada.
