Thank you all who leave such nice comments on the video, your support each week is appreciated and in last weeks vlog you made my little lad so happy as he read them, thank you.
Great vid as always, and the smiles on your lad's face always leaves me with a grin :) I was told not too bother last night on the middle severn, "too hot, too clear, too low". I walked away having almost doubled my pb with a 13lb8oz barbie caught at 9:30pm....still in shock. Not to mention that i almost lost a finger from the ferocity of the runs as i tried to adjust the clutch. Simply immense!!!
well done mate an amazing result and just shows the vlaue of following your own path, listen to others but dont let them define your decisions. amazing fish that well done matey
cheers mate, paid of in the end got to keep faith, although what am i saying when i was casting in and a pike was smashing the bits, my faith was not so high haha
Another cracking video mate. Was wondering if you had any beginner tips for someone like me who is going to be targeting barbel for the first time. Ive got the rods and rigs sorted but need a little help on location and how to approach a day session. Would you suggest roving or staying in 1 swim throughout the day? And what type of feeding pattern would you suggest/how long between each cast? Any help would be appreciated. Cheers 👍
hi dylan there is a barbel play list on channel that might help get a bigger picture of feeding. i personally keep to the ruleof when its hot look for fast shallow water and set up above it the babrel will be in the shallow water in the day but will move out in the evening. barbel are a species that can require you to night fish especially now when its low and clear. if its up and coloured then look for slacks behind trees and fish just on the line where the slack meets the faster water. feeding wise i stay same i keep casting atleast every 30 mins and a fewvery short casts at start get some feed down
Another enjoyable video. In answer to your question last week, I hope you don't mind me saying that I think it would be better to leave your camera in England and make sure your wife gets a well deserved break in France with no video technology to encroach on her holiday. We'll survive for a week without our Friday fix! There are times when subscribers should come second. Your holiday is one of them.
