The new river season 2023/24 is finally open, in England, so I've ventured out to try and tempt those Berties and crafty Chubsters to succumb to those delicious offerings and grace my net 😁.
Thanks for watching Dean. It's the best opening season session I have ever had 😁 but of course it could have been a flash in the pan 😉. Keep watching for upcoming videos👍.
Great opening season Nick! Some lovely fish there. Me and the other half only managed one Barbel from the Teme of about 6lb so well chuffed. Keep the great videos comin👍
@@matthewgwatkin847 Hey Matthew seems ages since my last trip to the Teme but would you believe it I'm travelling down there tomorrow for my annual Barbel & Chub fishing visit 😁. Hope to record some decent footage of those lovely Teme 'Berties' 😉. Well done on your Teme Barbel though.
Cheers Nick. We love it there and are lucky enough to have a caravan very near Tenbury wells. A tricky river to fish the Teme but very rewarding when you get a Bertie! Looking forward to your upcoming Teme footage, Have a great time and TIGHT LINES!
@@matthewgwatkin847 Thanks Matthew - really hoping the river is in good fettle and the Barbel & Chub are willing recipients of my tempting offerings 😁 and I get some exciting footage to upload.
I regard myself as a respectful angler but none of us are perfect. I try to be careful when handling and releasing most fish but especially Barbel, which due to their intense fighting nature are prone to suffering exhaustion after being caught. I never release a Barbel without it being recovered upright and actively wanting to swim away. Thanks for your view and comment.
Hi Nick. Great opening session. Well done and keep the videos coming. I know that you, like me, are an LAS member but I'm struggling to recognise that peg. Good luck on the Teme by the way.
Hey Malc, thanks for your view and comment and good wishes for my Teme excursion. Swim is a very popular one at Atcham and 'Bivvy Boys' tend to camp on there so you would be lucky to find it vacant (I was 🤗!!!)
Hi Nick, thanks for the vlog. I'm looking to fish this venue shortly. Can you tell me if it's possible to use a barrow to get your gear to the peg or is it too overgrown to do that?.
Not sure about this comment? I might miss a take due to lack of concentration but trying to concentrate for hours without looking away or sorting bait, food and other distractions usually coincide with a bite - sods law but we have all experienced such events. I don't "mess around with the camera" as you suggest when missing a take otherwise I wouldn't have recorded them 🤷♂.

Nice video no annoying so called “music “ just sound of the river and nature excellent watercraft and knolege
Thanks for watching & your kind remarks. I enjoy nature too much to spoil it with mood music or inappropriate songs 😉
At least you know how to rest them that's good

What part of the river is that?
Hey John, Lymm AC stretch @ Atcham if that helps?

Hi Chris,
No problem with a barrow on Atcham stretch here but don't try Poachers field as it is almost impassable on foot 😂as it is totally overgrown.
@@nickpricefishing Thanks Nick much appreciated👍
Why mess around with the camera you need to keep your eyes open for that nock
