      the last example is a bit confusing for humans too, I drive through there all of the time.

      Yeah but only if it's hot out and im going to be away from the car for a considerable amound of time. I use a small extension cable to disconnect the device from the middle of the two cables so I avoid any wear and tear on the usbc port. Then I just place it in the glovebox to keep it out of the sun.

    we need both... consider how the human brain has two halfs that approach a problem in different ways. Well there self driving system should have the one very logical driving model and then the other very "I've done this before approach".
