I would have gone with the second house and seen if the price could be negotiated as the real estate guy says. Even if it isn't, I will still go for it. It was a gorgeous house worth the price.
This couple is the perfect example of how entitled we Americans can be. We want it all and we want it now. We value things that have little REAL value and look down our noses at anything that falls short of our expectations. Sad.
Well-said. Check out the HHI of the guy moving to Italy to live "la dolce vita." Wants to buys a little Italian casa - speaks zero Italian and just expects others to speak English. Walks into a centuries-old villa and says - "there's a wall for my flat-screen TV." Yikes. Your comment about value and expectations really hits home.
Just keep in mind that there are probably hours and hours of footage that then gets cut any way the editor sees fit. Maybe it's not always the women complaining, but how some things are edited or cut?! Just a thought! ;)
why do they always expect to get up-to date interiors and furnishing ? do they renovate so often back home that they have such demands? if you don;t like it , don't say its dated! you don't buy it , you rent it as it is!
