"Project PLAYDEAD" - A Project 3 Fan Film

- A short film I made based on concept art for PLAYDEAD Studios' up coming game "Project ROVER".
I did everything : The modelling for the environment and the character, the textures, setting up the seen in unreal engine 5, the animation and the sound design.
The only part I didn't do was the rigging for the little cosmonaut model, that was done by my good friend Jeremie Tanasi, because rigging is a pain in the arse. I want to thank him for making my little cosmo movable!
I also want to thank my very good friend Charlène Dufour, a fantastic Unreal 3D artist who was there for me when ever I had any questions about setting up a scene in unreal engine 5, please go and see her work over on artstation, you will not regret it!

playdead met un temps fou à sortir ce fameux 3ème jeu l'attente est interminable
ils ont posté sur X en février donc le projet n'est pas abandonné au moins...
Ouai chaque année ils sortent une annonce comme quoi ils recrutent toujours, y'avait même un tweet à un moment qui disait que inside et limbo ont tout les deux prit 7 ans a faire et que cette fois si c'est encore plus ambitieux du coup facilement une décennie.
J'espère qu'on aura au moins un teaser cette année !

Merci ca fait trop plaisir! J'ai vraiment tout misé sur ce vibe playdead c'était important de trouver la bonne ambiance! J'ai animé le personnage dans maya puis j'ai importé tout ca dans UE! Mais j'apprends à animer avec UE en ce moment c'est différent mais impressionnant ce qu'ils ont réussi à intégré !
Merci c'était y à 2 ans mtn que je l'ai animé alors bcp d'apprentissage entre temps mais je l'aime toujours autemps ce projet je me suis régalée à le faire!

I used unreal engine 5 for the scene and lighting, I modeled the character in zbrush and 3ds max, I did the animation in Maya!
In total I spent about 3-4 months, it was really fun this is my favourite project I've done so far !

Is the glowing ball a crashed UFO?
I like to think of the ball as a power source and the antenna as a beacon that's calling for something, but the original concept art doesn't have a description so it's up to your imagination!
