Please find that backstory of how that 86 ended up there!
By the looks of it, I can piece the story together. The 86 must have had some sort of trouble. Maybe a part was broken. The owner parked it here, but never got around to fix it. The owner moved away or died, and the car sat. The Irish rain gathered between the fence and the barn, making the ground get soggy. the car sunk, and because of the cheaper metal the car is assembled out of, it started rotting. The car was forgotten, and since it was hiding behind the fence, no-one knew about it, so it couldn't have been saved. That is the probable backstory for this car, and a sad one at that.

You will prob find the rear end or the axle are going around a Bog in West Clare as a trailer as so many of them ended up.
I reckon it's stolen chopped up for parts, just to add to the sketchyness of the whole situation!
This AE86 of yours is becoming more of a time capsule than a car, ain't it? Parts from so many different twincams across Ireland, and she's still needing work. Can't wait to see how she turns out, even if it takes another year's worth of videos to get her built.

You can just tell that original Irish car was hopped of a pole or something back in about 94 by some buck doing rings and he just went and bought another one for about a grand, different times

I was in that car once and as far as I know it was actually an ex cop car all the marks were on the inside from the radio and extra buttons they had I recognised the shed straight away.
Sad :( would have been a cool car with a great back story.

It’s so sad how people just let stuff rot, without any intention of fixing or even selling. Even though my RD1 Cr-V isn’t the most desirable Honda from the golden age it blows my mind how Honda fans gut the B20 and just scrap the car I saved mine from the scrap yard for 500 bucks. New radiator and some magic with civic and a chain attached to the core support and she’s golden again.

My MK2 Golf has Mk2, MK3, Mk4, Corrado, BMW E36, Mercedes Sprinter, Ford Focus ST, Audi A4, Audi TT, Mazdaspeed 3 parts on it and I thought it was a Frankenstein build. You're literally taking the skin and structure from other dead cars and stitching it all together to bring your car back to life.. You're a mad scientist.
But it's all twin cam parts though unlike yours. lol

@@colmfarrel4742 They're just parts that fit what I needed. For example, I was doing a shaved bay on my car, so I didn't want an expansion tank visible, so I used a BMW E36 radiator which has the expansion tank built into the radiator. I used an intercooler off a diesel W907 Mercedes Sprinter because it has the perfect dimensions to tuck underneath the front bumper. I used the intake manifold off an Audi TT because it's flipped the opposite direction from standard and allows for neater intercooler piping. I used the K04 turbo setup off a Mazdaspeed 3. Intercooler piping off a Audi S3. Engine from a MK4 GTI. 2.0 Coilpacks from a Mk5 GTI. Brakes off a Corrado ect.
It sounds like a hack job, but they're tried and tested OEM quality parts and are easier to get whenever they need replaced.
