- Several people on Jacksonville’s northside were surprised to learn that skimmers drained their money from their electronic benefit transfer (EBT) cards at different stores.
Sounds like a 7-11 employee is robbing customers of their EBT accounts.
Just because someone receives food stamps it doesn't mean that he or she don't have a job.
It doesn’t mean their hard working people either tho.

If you get $500 a month on EBT, you probably don't have a job. If you do have a job, you're probably getting paid under the table, and not claiming it.

If someone is a single parent who works a full time job with a couple of kids, they can still qualify for food stamps.
It all depends on how much they make. And unfortunately many people don’t make above minimum wage.
Walmart is a perfect example. Most of their employees make $10-17 an hour, BUT are only allowed to work part-time so Walmart doesn’t have to pay them benefits.
These stores need sued for allowing criminals to place these skimmers on their credit/debit card readers!.

It want his benefits it was his mom's, besides that, many people that get good stamps do not live in the slums, some people fall on hard times. I get food stamps because I became disabled after a stroke and can't work anymore I get very little, I do not live in a bad neighborhood, I live in a very nice neighborhood. Stop stereotyping.

Food stamps go mostly to Children of people who work jobs and some even go to our active duty service members! If this contradicts your image of a foodstamp recipient, good! This happening in Brooklyn NY too. They are getting reports every day now of EBT cards being skimmed. Unfortunately they say they have to investigate. And the people won’t get back their benefits, until they conclude the investigation.
It happened on my daughters card back in april. After checking, they found out it was a store (got the name). in the Bronx. Got the money back in 2 weeks.

My mother is a senior and worked all her life until retirement earning minimum wages. She doesn’t even qualify for $200 a month. Able bodied people should not be receiving more than a senior that can no longer work and contributed all their work life! With a kid or not. Heck I returned to work after I had my only child.

I can’t believe they’re complaining about not getting their $500 or whatever it is in food stamps per month wherever they live at. I live in Florida, I’m blind, disabled. Nobody will hire me in the restaurant business and I get a whole whopping $95 a month and snap benefits. I make $1044 a month, I live in subsidize housing. I find despicable that they are buying potato chips, and soda, when there is so many people who need good real food that they can cook you can’t buy at least we live with the food stamp card, it’s meant for proper groceries only. I hope these people get their food stamps taken away from them. That’s my opinion.

If someone takes your card and knows your PIN, they can use all your benefits, which are not replaceable. You should keep your PIN secret, and you should not write it on your card, anything you keep with your card, or share it with anyone else. You have three attempts to enter your PIN correctly, and after the third try, you will not be able to use your card until the next day. If you cannot remember your PIN, or if someone knows your PIN, you should call EBT Customer Service immediately and select a new PIN. Your mom is not going to be covered... This is an easy case if they decide to prosecute.. so sad ..and more kids you have more money you get.. people lie on. The forms higher mortgage and higher gas electricity water.. more EBT and cash assistance... You know no rules but yet know everything... Sad

You can still work and be on EBT, you know that don't you? It depends on your income. For example, i work and tried to get on food stamps last year but was $600 over the income requirements. Had i not been $600 over i would have been approved while still working. However after i had a freak accident back in January of this year my job was put on hold with FMLA while i currently recover from knee surgery and i was able to get EBT since i can't work for the next few months.

It based on the income guidelines and if you over the limit you will not qualify for the benefit. If you have over at least $2,000+ in your account you not qualify and your resources can not be over certain limits amount. When you have time just Google it and read the rules and guidelines in your area and it will explain more
