They would tie his hands with office politics. From what I understand dumb people are in charge and they have very stupid policies to ensure INCLUSION over content. Imagine sitting in a writers room with a bunch of other writers you have this killer idea that will resonante with fans, it may be a fight, or a scene that build tension but instead and an exec overules you because they need to include a lesbian scene to hit a quota. Your idea gets cut even though that would have saved the movie. Nobody can say anything because the boss has spoken and whats done is done.....11 months later Madam Web comes out.

My heart goes out to ya about your friend man. I've been watching you and him for what feels like forever. Back when you had close my eyes the old school hip hop mix as your intro. You helped me find a calm in all the bad years of my life. So I feel for ya good sir.
The issue Marvel has with the Multiverse Saga is that they created so many open storylines that nothing feels connected becase theres just too many loose ends.
Marvel had set up the cosmic stuff with Eternals, Clea, Black Knight, Moon Knight sequel, Monica in a X-Men universe, whatever the TVA is about to do in Deadpool 3, Sharron Carter, Skar, and probably more that I'm forgetting.
In the Infinity Saga, it was one focused story with really no side stuff. Every movie connected to the main plot in some way. However in the Multiverse Saga, there's so many stories going on that its hard to piece together what the main story actually is. Obviously the multiverse stuff is important, but thats only what... 3? 4 movies/shows?
Ikr why do they think people HATED Iron Man 3 because it was the only project that did nothing for the franchise. It’s fine having self contained stories sometimes to break the constant world ending events but when 70% of your projects are self contained stories that you could skip and not be punished like you would be in the Infinity Saga than why would you bother watching projects your not interested in? Why would I want to see Ms. Marvel? Why would I want to see She-Hulk? Why would I want to see Hawkeye?
Sure it’s a character introduction but will I miss anything important if I just don’t watch them? No and that’s why a lot of the recent marvel projects have been flopping because they burned people too many times with projects that don’t matter and are based on characters nobody asked for projects about. Just like their competitor the DCEU they ruined the start and lost the general audience than they tried course correcting by changing the universe to be ALL self contained stories with MCU comedy and lost the Snyderverse fandom that’s when they could never recover every movie flopped and nobody was excited to see the next project because they knew their was a big chance that what they watched won’t come into play later and they were correct.

I was thinking this throughout the whole video. I think that’s why it seems like marvel doesn’t really have a plan, it seems like they were completely ready to give jonathan majors the mantle as the new big bad marvel villain.

I'm glad you're finding some comfort in making videos. Ben would be proud of you for pushing through and helping continue his legacy through your work. This whole story that you've made would be an amazing way to bring in new characters, even down to how they are brought it. This could easily explain why the mutants have been missing from the MCU. Or you could take it a route where the mutants that were left were in hiding out of fear of being pruned 🤷♂️ Either way it's a good way to explain abscesses and also bring those same characters in. Keep it up Rob!

See, Rob is a true comics fan, a man who knows his stuff and can put together a video like this and explain away a whole series of movies, a Phase as Marvel calls it, within like 9 minutes. Give him a platform in front of their studios and he'd crush it. Why not do this, exactly that, down to the very last minute details, even bringing him in and producing the whole affair. I'm just saying, this is way better than anything they've put out so far in the past 5 years with the exception of Spiderverse.

Comic movies are messed up and there’s no fixing them. Marvel has provided DC an opening- we’ll see if they take the initiative.
I think it’s fixable. They are taking a step back on their release quantity to make a more cohesive story. Now, they could fall on their face of course, but if they put together 3 solid movies in a row I think the fanbase will start coming back around. Although I would love to see the DCU take off. 🤞🏼

My condolences for the loss of your friend/brother in Comics Rob. I have to say that I'm most definitely agreeing with your MCU theory and I would take it a step further by having Marvel use old clips from phases 1-3 and using Victor Von Doom in his own solo movie, with or without showing his face in certain clips from those first phases as a kind of nexus character who like you said, figures out what's transpiring within the Multi-Verse, and getting the bigger picture of things, while the Avengers adventure in the Infinity Saga is playing out in the background of Doom formulating his Ultimate goal, which would explain why we as the audience and the other Marvel characters haven't seen or heard of Doom. I would like to hear you do more podcasts on this topic if possible good brutha.

🤔 I dunno. Do people actually like the idea of THE FANTASTIC FOUR movie being an AVENGERS 5 set-up mystery box story instead of a good movie that is about the F4? There have been 4 F4 movies already and no one has ever made a good one. Would be a shame if try 5 was just a “multiverse prequel” and the IP itself not given a chance to set its own feet first.

I think they have stated they’re not doing their origin story in this one, at least not part of the main plot. That gives them more room to explore the multiverse and cosmic landscape as they often do in the comics. There’s potential for sure.

Unless all the different TVAs in the multiverse are about to start talking to one another in Deadpool 3, I don't think this really makes sense. A Bit of Everything has a great video about how the Multiverse works, and it's actually gotten recognition from the folks working on the MCU as being how they have envisioned things working, or at least the closest model anyone's come up with yet. Definitely worth a watch. The video is called: A "relatively" short history of the MULTIVERSE, in 12 chapters

I mean, well, it _is_ fan fiction, but this reads like fanfic quality. Having an ultimately powerful villain killed off at the end of a movie by an even more powerful bigger villain to be the main threat in the next outing sounds like something that would happen in the comics-and not in a good “true to the source material” way but a cheap rug-pull way.

One thing I always do whenever I'm going through the 5 stages is watch the "Robot Chicken short The 5 Stages Of Grief" and it's a giraffe that gets stuck in quicksand and goes through all 5 stages as it sinks. It gets me every time hahaha.

Well done, Rob. I can’t disagree with this, good stuff. Also, as someone who’s lost many over the decades: embrace it. You’re angry, let it out on a punching bag. Don’t try to “keep the peace” at all times. Give yourself some time to process by yourself where you can completely cut loose. When you’re done, stay by yourself for a few and talk to Ben about it. In Deadpool and Wolverine, that portal that they jump through at the end of the trailer, Dr. Doom actually did that, and Dr. Doom was trapped in the Void at the end of all time because he has a rivalry with Kang, and he lost to Kang and was put there, and Dr. Doom being as smart as he is, and as much of a menis as he is, he survives and he finds a way to escape and then he swears vengence and in the Secret Wars movie with the multiverse they can make it that Dr. Doom faces off against Kang, and it is Kang as the Beyonder and Dr. Doom finds a way to steal his power and transfer it to himself, and he becomes God Emperor Doom just like in the comics, and it goes on from there. That is my take on it.

Mhh, i feel like the woke arguement has some points.
the marvel cinematic universe is without a doubt suffering from a wokeness problem. from changing character's races, to making movies that are like watching a gathering of the people in the UN because of mah D.I.E., to strong wahmen that need no men, to turning straight characters into alphabets, to making movies specifically for the CCP, to bringing characters that nobody cares for/buys comic books just because they are from a "special" protected group in the western world, and the list goes on. the focus on these things instead of good story telling is what's destroying that which was excellent (for the most part) until endgame.

They need to hire you as a consultant this was a great way to introduce Doom and the Fantastic Four without doing another origin story
With the F4 movie less than a year away this is off the table but for years I’ve said I’d love to see the F4 introduced via a series that essentially was the same plot as the show Sliders.
This is my way of saying I love the idea of the F4 jumping from universe to universe.
