I wanted to be in diamond for SO LONG. "all" you have to do is consistently play better than the average (insert role) player in your rank AND play enough games to give the game the information it needs to put you in the appropriate rank. I put all in quotations because it's easier said than done. climbing is a legit grind, especially if you primarily solo queue like me. you have to play a lot of games for your rank to reflect your individual skill instead of the impact of RNG. BUT it's totally doable! honestly, clean, consistent fundamentals are really all you need to get to diamond. you don't need to constantly be doing anything crazy. unless, of course, you are like a good percentage of the Mercy players in diamond who have gotten boosted. I'm talking Mercy players who have less than 1k damage boosted per 10 😬 I've played with a lot of these guys ever since I started playing/maining Moira the last couple of seasons. we hate to see it but it's an unfortunate reality.
@soldierofmidgar03 basically, you can do it!! I promise you it's possible! it will just take time and effort and some self reflection. the replay viewer is your best friend! I rewatch my games on RUclips ALL THE TIME too. I mostly post games I win, but I learn just as much, if not more, from wins as I do losses because even if they don't impact the end result, I still see all the mistakes I made -- mistakes which my teammates either suffered for or had to make up for. constantly rewatch yourself and find all the opportunities for growth, and focus on 1-3 things at a time. and play the long game -- the outcome of 1, 2, or even 10 games doesn't matter. focus always and only on playing your best, and the wins will come over time.
Wish I was in diamond , great gameplay and nice movement
