Bosco's story really hit it home for me. He's been with that family for years and they just decided to put him to sleep?! I get that moving is stressful and maybe they won't be able to take care of him but jeez, why not ask someone to take him in? Or maybe ask around local shelters or maybe reach out on social media? Yeah people might say 'oh but they're embarrassed' so what? There are a lot of good and understanding people who would gladly home a dog if you tell them your circumstances. For me, there will never be a good reason to abandon or kill your pet for the sake of your pride or just because it's an inconvenience for you. Thank goodness Bosco finally got his forever home, and shame on that family!
The best way to stop those stereotypes is to prove them wrong by educating folks, taking him out and showing people its not the breed its how they are raised. Seeing is believing, take him out and show him off. Thank you for everything you do for animals! Oh and putting him in that costume definitely makes him look more approachable and probably a great conversation starter to begin educating folks. Great idea! Love it!
I have been saying that pitties are just a product of how they are raised. I had a coworker say that it's scientifically proven that they are wolves and they are viscous. I still believe that they are sweet and gentle dogs.
i love how this family treats dogs most foster youtubers use the dogs or whoever or whatever they foster for money and these people don't so thankyou rocky for not being biased about dogs and treating them how they are supposed to be treated

I love how the lab was recruited to clean up the spilled food. They are 100% professional floor cleaners. I could not have raised two children without them!

I have a dog but he's really sick we got like it doesn't know how to see he is here talking to the nurse but he's been saying it for the kids you're ready and she finally came back when I'm really happy

Rocky, I have seen too many pit bulls who are sweet until they aren't. They startle easily and react. One bit a little girl in the face. It was the neighbor, so the dog knew her. My Aunt went to pet her next door pit bull mix went nuts, lunging, growling. This one ended up a farm dog. (He had then reacted to the owner.) I wouldn't adopt a dog with a drop of pit bull. That little aforementioned girl has a scar from when the sweet pit bull snapped. Do you really think they are suited for household pet living??
sounds like the owner didnt do a good job of training their pitbull, im sure the owner knows that their dog is a bit skittish, and its reactions are probably there because of people like you who judge before you get all the information.... the owner should have given a warning like "hey, if you make sudden movements my dog might get scared and go into fight or flight response." or whatever the case may be, that dog might have even not liked people getting all up in its face like children do before they learn boundaries, you dont know. my red healer mix is very excitable so he isnt fit for being around small children, we know this and take measures to ensure no harm is done to the dog or the person. some people just dont know these things and dont realize that every dog has its own personality and if you dont accommodate that correctly you could have a situation that could turn into that. clearly you know nothing about having a dog......
@TheTazame so, we continue to blame every trainer, owner, child, senior, rather than the dog's nature. I grew up with dogs as had my friend (with the disfigured toddler) whose neighboor walked her pittie all around the subdivision with kids and other dogs all over the place, with no one being anything but nice to her dog. Until one day the dog snaps. No one in that situation knew why and I SWEAR YOU DON'T KNOW EITHER! And as for my aunt? That woman took in rescues and would walk her past my aunt's home almost every day. Why did that pittie get aggressive toward a little 80yr old? And 2 days later go after the woman herself to the extent that the dog had to be sent to a farm? Since this lady had been fostering for years, and across breeds, I'm going to give her credit for knowing about dogs. Don't make assumptions about people you know nothing about.
@TheTazame the dogs reactions are bc of people LIKE ME? Pitties are the breed most likely to maul. They were bred as fighting dogs. Used later as Nanny dogs, with unfortunate outcomes. This is the breed most likely to attack, maul, and continue until the kill. Learn your breeds.
It's breaks my heart to see those homeless dogs on streets and honestly I wish I could adopt all I see, because did u know dogs are the only things on earth that loves you more than it self so I want to give them all my love

Dogs are super intelligent. Dogs pick the plate with the MOST FOOD on it if they see it. Except Kobe, the Noze knoz! Amazing, yes? They hope the second plate will still be sitting there.
I had a mastiff that would go into the garden and eat tomatoes. Then he’d grow his own plants from the seeds that he passed through his intestines. Lol
Pitbulls are my FAVORITE breed, I had a Pitbull-pointer mix and he was the best dog. Very protective over my nieces when they very small. If or when I get another dog - it definetely would be a Pitbull
