This is a 340 ?. As I recall from back in the day, the 340, apart from being the end of the days of the Mk2, was a cut down, cheapened version of the Mk2. That is, Ambla upholstery instead of leather, and also, I think, those big thick bumpers were replaced with much thinner ones. As a student who hitchhiked a lot in the early 70's, I once received a lift in a 3.4 Mk2. It was a huge disappointment. Dark, and gloomy inside.., the whole aura was of a very outdated 1950's car. Which, basically it was. Not too long after, I received a lift in a 4.2 Mk1 XJ6, a thrilling journey, by someone who knew how to drive fast. The comparison with the Mk2 was like night and day. About 8 or 9 years later, I bought a 1970 4.2 XJ6. Wonderful machines. I've always loved the looks of the MK2, still do, but have never felt the urge to own one. Great to see so many of the Mk2 deficiences addressed in the car here. Thank you for putting up this video.
You neglected to mention the great looks of this Jaguar. She’s a beauty!
The "Map" switch for 'SatNav'? :) Perhaps the concealed map-reading lamp!

I think its a 3.4 MK11 . The 340 had the single bumper front and back.
It should have a wooden dash top not vinyl. Map is for a Map reading light not a SatNav.
Bumpers are definitely not 340
Still needs work, fix that squeaking clutch pedal and dress up those visors.
