My EDS specialist prescribes either Clonidine or Guanfacine to treat anxiety, insomnia, POTS, and migraines in EDS patients. This type of medication works by signalling the body not to dump so much norepinephrine and adrenaline into circulation, which in turn calms the "fight or flight" panic and anxiety response.
Since each EDS patient is a unique individual, it might not help everyone. However, this type of medication has been a miracle for me, as well as for my daughter.

I use chocolate! Melt it down, mix in my helpful herbs, such as Devils claw for inflammation, others for blood vessel strengthening, aminos, etc. makes unpleasant powders almost undetectable and much easier and more pleasant to take!

You might look into ketamine infusions. I am doing it for the neurological pain of Complex Regional Pain Syndrome. A wonderful side effect is calmness. It also functions as a very effective (and immediate) antidepressant. Insurance does not cover it, but it was life changing for me.
