In this video I am checking out the cutscene that plays after defeating the Overseer on The Island in Ark Survival Ascended.

The cutscene first shows us ascending with our survivor implant changing before landing on the Scorched Earth map. Then in the second part of the cutscene Helena talks to us about our progress. This cutscene sheds more light on more of arks lore and story.

IIRC, your implant is updated as soon as you defeat the boss, which is the Overseer in this case.
(For other bosses, that results in you gaining certain Tekgrams as well, if you haven't already.)

Yeah it looks really bad. They clearly just copy and pasted a whole bunch of shit.

It really is. The lighting is so much brighter and blown out that instead of looking like you're in space it looks like you're playing Oblivion.

The zoom-out-zoom-in ending shot looks a little better but the rest is just straight worse. The space flight section of the cutscene feels less "on rails" than it did in evolved, which is strictly a bad thing, since it's supposed to show you the ARK systems way of directing where you go. YOure not supposed to feel like you have any input on it.

its also not as flashy as it use to be.. going through the glowing rings and past more ARKs... also the ending shot showing all the ARKs is a lot more bland lookin @@user-sk2iw7bq1i
