I just got mine today and boy am I already impressed with the premium build quality and compactness of it all. I plan to use it on my desk, but I also look forward to traveling with it.
I had purchased a few of these. Anything that was cheap, failed to keep working after just a few days. Even the expensive Mophie 3-in-1 that Apple sells on their site has given me big problems with not working properly when traveling. Big sad. That lead me to get Apples own MagSafe Duo charger. Which is ok, but it's super annoying to pick up your phone one handed (which happens more often than I thought it would. I bought the Anker Cube 2 months ago and I have been more than happy with it. Zero failures and zero issues with it. The MagSafe duo is now my travel charger.
It is nice indeed but I had trouble charging my AirPods with it, they lost connection all the time and the bigger issue for me: it can’t charge through the quad lock mag case.
why not? I've got the quad lock magsafe case and it charges on everything pretty well. You don't keep a ringstand in it do you? I do but remove it for charging.
@@mikemorosno idea why but it doesn’t charge at all. I even found another video about it specifically and people on the net complained as well. No ring on it and the case works fine on apples MagSafe puck. Just a shame.
I got the Belkin 3-in-1 for the house and the MagSafe duo for travel. I would consider swapping but not at $150. Sticking with what I have even though I’m a big fan of Anker stuff.
all of them advertisers called youtubers forget to mention that this thing costs 150 pounds. no15 or 20. 150. i got myself a knock off anker cube for 30 and it works like a charm.
Thank you so much for mentioning that this product works for standby mode. You’re the first review I watched that has mentioned this! I just purchased this product for my wife and was worried standby mode would not work
No one really mentions it because standby mode literally just requires the phone to be charging, stationary, and in landscape. There is no “standby compatibility”. You can charge an iPhone with a cable and just prop it up on something and standby will work just fine.
I’m in the market to get new bedside/travel chargers and my only concern would the longevity of the hinge on the top and the “pop-out” watch charger. I’ve been through too many pop-out items where the spring got loose and wasn’t not accessible unless I take a device/object apart. 💁🏽♂️
I think the next iteration needs a usbc output for those non Apple devices to charge while traveling like a GoPro etc.. then this would be perfect and I would pay a premium
The times you are going to need to charge all 3 items at once are few and far between. I’ll be sticking with my duo which is yet to fail me unlike competitor products.
Remember... youtube "reviews" are like watching tv shop or QVC... They will make you think that you really need this product because you need to do this and than even in real life your don't.
Got it at Best Buy for $112. Was choosing between this, the Belkin 3 in 1, and the Otterbox 3 in 1. Otterbox was not available then the Belkin one is still at its SRP. So decided just to get this..and I’m traveling a lot with all of these Apple gadgets, it would be super convenient just bringing one compact charger.
I have been trying to buy one of these since it was released- it’s never available on Amazon and Anker won’t ship them internationally! Very frustrating!
Hey, just a couple of things to note. You mention around 1min 46sec that the 3 in 1 charges the airpods originals. It does not (I have tried and even states on the Anker website). Also, you could have mentioned the other downsides such as the following: The cube is VERY heavy. I understand this is ideal for when you have your heavy iphone pro max hanging off of it as you don't want it to tip over. However, this goes against portability which people like myself originally got it for. Lastly, as many people will be able to see from your video is how bad the material is that Anker used. finger marks are left after even the lightest of touches which is annoying because it is beautifully designed. All in all, I love the product for the design and functionality. I have a ESR magsafe charger for my main charge unit in my bedroom but the Anker 3 in 1 cube is for the office (and travel) due to its low footprint on a desk. It also charges pretty fast which is also another plus.
I was contemplating getting this or the new travel MagGo. I went with the MagGo because of the price. When my iPhone is done charging during the night, I have to remove it from the charger or I’ll get the very annoying “Bong” charging sound which will continue until I remove it. I don’t know why and don’t feel comfortable with it doing that. I’m afraid of damaging my iPhone’s battery. I’ve heard many others complaining about the same issue. I’m curious if anyone has this issue with this model. I’m going to return the one that I purchased.
@@chaskinsnc Yep. I think that I have charged my airpods with my duo charger without a problem and when he said that you can't charge airpods with duo I was wondering what the *beep*...
MagSafe duo (which is from Apple by the way) is embarrassing to have because the camera bumps on the iPhone gets in the way, so it doesn’t charge flat. I don’t know how Apple allowed that accessory to be released.
I literally just bought this cube charger, the only thing that frustrates me is 2 main things; 1) at night when I have everything on it charging (specifically my AirPods Pro 2) then the light in the back is super bright in my completely dark bedroom. 2) the dimensions of this cube is *✨JUST✨* a bit bigger than the compartments of the bags I have so it tends to bulge out a bit (only because I have very slim bags that are basically big enough for a 13” MacBook, 11” iPad Pro, and maybe a thin battery pack & some cables)
I am annoyed I didn't discover this one earlier. My old nomad double charger failed and I just bought a regular magsafe from apple, not even the duo because why is it 3x the price with not even twice the charging plates? At least the anker is 3x the plates at 3x the price...
This is something I’ve been looking for years. I think because of MagSafe it’s more of reality now compared to having to use the plastic mold cheap ones where you have to route your own cables and stuff. Definitely going to pick one up. Wondering how my ultra will fit in the charger and if my AirPods will slide around.
@@Dantheman1219 my 15 Pro Max with a clear case charges fine. It’s a nice idea, but I’d probably just leave that at home & travel with a multi-port adapter + necessary cables. It’s just lighter & less bulk (when your cables are organized properly)
Nice, but $150? I can get 5 other 3-in-1 or 2-in-1 style magesafe chargerstands for that amount. That is a crazy premium for a slight improvement to how it folds up vs competitors.
I’ve started my 9 days of now lol. Tomorrow I’m getting an ultra 2. And in 4 months a 15 pro max I have a 14 pro max now. I want the 15 so I can find my phone with my watch. Then I’m getting the air pods pro 2nd gen. With otter clear case. N 2 year warranty. Then the cube. lol.
I have both this Anker 3-1 and the ESR Halolock 3-1 and I much prefer the ESR for travel. Heck, if I didn't already have the Anker for my desktop I would just get an ESR for my desktop too. And the ESR Halolock 3-1 is less than half the price of an Anker 3-1 so you could get 2 ESR for less than 1 Anker. 🤷♂
I’m sold! To be able to charge all three devices with one charger is what I need. Having to carry around 3 cables and charges is a cumbersome and a pain in the neck!

how long is the usb-c cable?
I ve just bought one to replace my esr 3 in 1 charging station. Just for the style and for travelling. I was fed up with carying all my wires for trip
