My favorite thing was when bootleg merch just stole really weird art they'd find on the internet. I would rather see a Sonic OC drawn by a 14 year old on some bootleg merch than some AI garbage slop
Except for Fawn Friends. I will do anything to see my Fawn in person. Nothing but positive support for them since they use AI for good and not ruining art.
This brings up a pretty good point. If you had to choose between two products being a thing, which would it be? Stolen art or AI vomit? It's a tricky one for sure!
No contest selling ai art is better, I don't agree with ai at all but at least they're selling obviously ai generated garbage and not something _actually stolen_ from an artist.
generative ai is in many cases inherently stolen art, so its either directly stolen art or a mishmash of several pieces of stolen art! a true trash vs garbage moment
I am so unbelievably confused wasnt this a channel from like 7 years ago that patter uploaded 1 gameplay video to and then left the channel to rot? what is going on with this channel now? what is all of these videos
I love that one person that felt the need to label their products as bootlegs. Like, he knows he's breaking the law...but at the same time, he feels really bad about ripping people off. It's like an immoral person with morals.
both just blatantly sealing art and uploading it AND using ai are practically the same thing. AI "art" is directly stealing from artists to train, which the artists get no compensation from. its also harming the environment greatly in the same way nfts do, just on a greater scale
Every artist does it to some degree, even if its possible to human brain to make something entaerly new without ANY insparation, majority of the humans don't (and can't) do this I'd say that in case of Ai however its closer to visual imaginatoin, than to art
4:21 thats possibly a french name for a pokemon (considering that the card is in french), not sure which since i’m not into pokemon and just found this channel. also i’m 70% sure those girls in the bootleg legos pictures and the backgrounds (specially those cut up lemons, thats why they look kinda funny) are actually real (but to be fair considering that almost everything is AI now i’m not judging the fact you thought of them not being real) (also the shirt on that girl was actually a long-sleeve one, thats why the arm look funky) (+the fingers on that one other girl werent deformed or lacking (or atleast from what i saw)).
Exactly! Even if some people don’t have the skills to draw, I’d prefer to buy a blanket with a huge image of a badly drawn pikachu on it than an AI one
It's going to be utterly impossible for human creators of anything to compete against an infinite amount of AI at this rate, and that truly saddens me.
AI should be banned to some extent. AI art is just lazy and can barely be seen as a “tool”, since most of the time the “art” comes out looking lazy, and not only that, but the AI “learns” (AKA steals) from different HUMAN artists without their permission.
@@FB64_Fakebeta I think it comes down to this: if AI can perform both the thinking (in whatever sense) and the execution to create art, then what's the point of human artistic endeavors? It will still exist because creative expression is a part of all of us, but I'm sure it would be only a drop in the ocean considering AI "creators" can work nonstop and "create" and a much more prolific pace. My biggest fear is that we're going to be flooded with AI content that won't even be labeled as such, and it will increasingly become more difficult to distinguish it from the work of real people. I truly do fear that.
@@FB64_Fakebeta It's a very slippery slope between assisting and dominating. At some point it's going to have to be controlled or banned before there's no opportunity for people to do anything anymore.
Usage of ai is not the problem of ai, its the problem of human nature and/or socium Things like this will happen even without Ai (like they where for past ~15 years)
tbh, i’m liking his second channel a lot more. it feels more like his old videos, im not really liking the main channel that much. i wish he would go back to his classic style of videos.
I think having two channels is the best of both worlds. Yes, Peter's main channel has changed quite a bit as it's progressed from hobby to career, and, like you, I do miss the style of many of the older videos. That's why I'm so happy this second channel exists: Classic Patter in a new way!
Patter not knowing that Comfortable is actually spelled Comfortable and pronouncing it weirdly is such a Patter move.
51st state: Pokemon Shopping

the fact that he didn’t recognize the elemental monkeys 💔 i know most people don’t like them but i PERSONALLY think they’re cute
yeah simisage and simisear are great actually
@@tempest6027 Nah.
one of my best friends absolutely loves the elemental monkeys and i’m right there with them
ai will ruin everything
Except for Fawn Friends. I will do anything to see my Fawn in person. Nothing but positive support for them since they use AI for good and not ruining art.
3:11 I'm glad they are protecting Charizard's identity. It would be terrible if someone took his appearance and sold bootleg/AI products of it online.
Man shopping videos are gonna be a lot harder to make now that finding REAL THINGS people made is so hard now
How much you wanna bet half of these images stole from NSFW art.
This brings up a pretty good point.
If you had to choose between two products being a thing, which would it be?
Stolen art or AI vomit?
It's a tricky one for sure!
If it were just a matter of quality, definitely stolen art. But since it's stolen, I'd be too guilty to wear it! 😂
i’d take stolen art anyday over ai slop
The stolen art, because AI art is TERRIFYING

Thank you for this content, Peter! During this difficult time, it distracts me and makes me and i'm sure a lot of others feel a lot better.
I am so unbelievably confused

No idea what ur talking about, this is brand new, sir

Is it really ripping people off if you're telling them exactly what they're getting?
Patter is peak 👌
4:20 that's literally a french product
SHOPPING SERIES IS BACKKKK

Is not good, the state of pokemon shopping is not good.
Ugh ai and temu such a awful combo, those poor pokemon lol xD
I love how at 1:27 at the side of his head there are 2 other Pokemon searches, and both show a picture of a Digimon lmao

4:35 aight so the demogorgon just droppin in here now.
0:18 Русский Pikachu
4:18 it’s in a different language
I like making AI art, but I HATE people who use it to trick others that they drew it and some that sell it too
Also hi Peter
game freak really fell off after the ai accusations

Exactly! Even if some people don’t have the skills to draw, I’d prefer to buy a blanket with a huge image of a badly drawn pikachu on it than an AI one
Ai stinky
Very much
What shocked me the most is that this was posted 3 hrs ago
0:24 METAPHOR??!?!?! METAPHOR???!! LOUIS GUIABURN AND EISELIN HULKENBERG
petter becoming orange
I'm not anti-AI, but I do have a problem with people selling things that they didn't put any effort in.
