I hate when people say things like "they're professionals, they shouldn't mess up!" Firstly, they're only human. Secondly, Metallica songs are usually pretty difficult to play and can be quite taxing on the body and mind. Lastly, these guys are like 60 years old, the fact that they're still playing like they're 30 is something incredible. I'm not trying to say that you can't do things when you're 60, but it's definitely harder at 60 than at 30
At least they are not miming live. I would rather have mistakes and missed notes and whatever than miming and playback on main instruments. It's about tearing it up and letting lose, not to be some metronome machines.
@@FrankTheDoomriderJohansen Theyre mistakes that werent intended .... they can play them well without mistakes. Just takes more pactice & it will still sound live & not be perfect.
I dare you to learn 188 songs flawlessly without ever making a mistake and potentially living with arthritis when you're over 60 years old LIVE two times a week for hours non stop... see how well you do if it really is as easy as you say
@@PatoChu I didnt say its easy. We practiced 1-2 times a week, AND hauled all out own equptment, And set it all up & often wouldnt get a soundcheck , then play 4 hours , then tear it all down load it all up take it home, unload it all for 50-150 bucks. We had to do roughly 35 songs without noticable mistakes. .... They only have to practice up maybe 20 songs & Not haul equiptment , just chill & jam. easy work for insane money. Noticable mistakes just mean More practice.
Look at how they make a mockery out of their all too accepting blindly loyal fan base now. Hey I used to be a huge Metallica fan...back in the day before they were a huge band. But lets be honest old schoolers... They have been dialing it in live for years now. Last great performance I saw was beginning of DM tour in 09. They killed the old and new songs with some real deep cuts thrown in. But ever since? Ive seen them many times...mostly out of nostalgia and loyalty...though I often left the show almost laughing at how bad they played and didnt seem to care knowing that theyre newer fans cared even less. Shame. This band used to put everything into their performances...like top athletes with something left to prove. But everything fades with age and with a guaranteed $$$ windfall.
I don't know, man. It seems James does care, and Rob, too. You might be right about Kirk the most since I can't tell if it's Lars's ability or not. I really like what James said a while ago. He said he looks down at his pick hand and screamed, Let's go!!! Meaning age has definitely made the best in the world skip a beat, so to say.
Sometimes you just have a shitty day at the office.
Or if you're Lars or James, many times.
0:08 I thought he was going into Pantera's By Demons be Driven there for a second.
xd
I love Kirk's sense of humour. Also loved Lars at the end.

In the heat of the moment the average fan does not notice, unless you are my husband 🙄
every Tallica fan DOES notice :) greetings to your husband, stay healthy Brother!
@ Thanks, I have seen them every time they came to Chicago, too much going on to notice. That does not make me less of a fan.
Crazy how bad they're getting. No excuse.
@@brendang4239 All of these videos are from multiple years ago...
@ Easy for you to say, where is your band? They have over 100 songs never play the same set twice, You probably couldn’t play one song.
1:25 Lars is supposed to do tom rolls right there but he never does live. Maybe his arms need a break for a second or something lol
Lars has never played that part live
@JasonDrums24 thank you for reiterating what I said
🤘😎
Put the whole section and use the Matrix glitched. There a goood meme in there
They can't mess up One! It's impossible!
Maybe just one time?
METAL MACHHHHHHHINES :P

The only mess up here are these Metallica miserable haters channels that hate their lives spreading their miserable lies on the internet.
