Seems pretty luxurious at that price 😅
Can definitely spend less. Id say this is more mid range travel, not budget.
Wow, I went to Vietnam for a week last September. It was a wonderful journey beginning in Hanoi, visiting the rice fields and picturesque, Hmong, Cat Cat Village in northern Sapa, followed by an overnight cruise on Ha Long Bay, and ending the trip in Saigon. My only regret is that didn’t stay longer, and unfortunately dropping my phone in the bay. It was truly a beautiful experience made better by doing it with great friends.
I think I did much better with my budget, the most expensive part by far being the flight, but I was also coming from the US. Regardless, it’s a memory I’ll always cherish and I look forward to going back at some point.
It could be 20$ a day if you went into town and eat and found a local to take you around
We (2pax) spend 15 euro a day in Asia, without rent. And we are constantly sitting in cafés and restaurants.
That’s awesome!
I feel like everyone in the comments fails to realize that a budget can be any price. A budget is a guideline for your spending. If you have X dollars, then you'll try to spend Y on this amount and Z on that amount and not go over your total. They budgeted $123/day and succeeded in staying in that guideline. YOU might budget $20/day and manage to stay in that guideline. Of course you can travel Vietnam cheaper!
Normally people who tightly budget are poorer and have to more strictly manage their money to survive. So we get used to people saying "budget-friendly" as a shortcut for "cheap." But it's not the meaning being used in this video--they’re on A budget, just not "budget meaning cheap."
Yeah, that’s really expensive for „budget“ in Vietnam! We are in Vietnam now (Dec. 2023) and spend not even half of it with 5 people but do all the fun stuff, too.🤷♀️
Lies.
I’d love to hear how you did that… with 5 people???
Yall did pretty good money wise. I would have easily spent that much by myself
You kidding? So expensive for Vietnam
Really!? In Vietnam? Then I guess you travel in luxury… or an American who needs a steak every meal 🤣😂
ew no
Thanks for spending a day in my country!❤
Hope to come back soon!
Yes, I have spent 5 months travelling Vietnam mostly but 2 months in Thailand and Indonesia, staying in cheap hotels, hiring a motorcycle in Vietnam and scooter in Thailand,Indonesia and worked out I spent $100 us a day....
As someone who hasn't been to Vietnam, thanks for this video and the heads up. This is helpful.
687 dollars for guided tour in vietnam? 🤣🤣🤣🤣
It’s reasonable
@@Bjorja Reasonable if you are a tourist and want to pay the prices you would have paid in any western country, but not for someone that lives there. 600 Bucks is a monthly income over there and getting that money in from a couple for a oke day or maybe one week tour is ridiculous.
I just paid $140 for a 3 day tour of the ha giang loop so this seems expensive even for 2.
@@TheChaz96 i paid 125 i literally spit food when i heard 687
@@invoker_tm7556 that's for 2 people don't forget. mine was $240 for a 4 day tour. still really expensive, wonder how much they tipped...
Thx for the information ℹ️ ❤❤I can not wait to go in Vietnam 🇻🇳 about 6 weeks I go there for the first time ☺️☺️
Plus you need to budget money for the local ladies 😊
To each their own ✌️❤️
You got ripped off hard
In Ho Chi Minh city a day for me is 50$
Dang that’s awesome!
Lol I think she didn’t give a fuck 😂 if I had money I’ll be down ain’t gonna lie
that is still alot! you can have a day in a 5 star hotel, food, pool for a little over 40 bucks
@@ravenwaffle7574 Im a native dude sometimes I treat myself
I WAS IN VIETNAM HO CHI MINH CITY AND IT WAS 90$
Do not follow this budget. Expensive as hell.
🫡
Nice view
You can travel vietnam comfortably on 20 dollars a day,
Cureently doing it
Spoiled ppl I stay in Vietnam for around 20 usd a day and I smoke 😆
How tf did you spend that much
We change the city saigon name to ho chi minh
That’s expensive.😆
104 for two person comes out to $52 a day per person that's cheap for full time traveling
That’s cheaper than staying at home.
yeah people don't seem to realize how cheap some countries are. thats a lot of money for vietnam.
I think 1800 or so for 2 people its reasonable, even for me who live's in asia too
Thanks for the info ,will visit soon.
Full day is 20€ … hhahs
Where did you find your flight ticket so cheap though !
Flying from Thailand helps a little hahaha
Bc they were traveling around and did awesome stuffs..the cost of train and tickets cost lot now!!..if you stay at one spot, of course it is so much cheaper!!
As long as you can afford and enjoy yourselves! 🎉👍. It is all worth it !! What can i ger with $120? Pizza abd wings ? And that is all.😂
That is mental. For all travellers note that this is not a real travelling experience and more of a holiday. You can do Vietnam a lot LOT cheaper than this!
Were you required to get covid tests?
what airline did yall fly?
I love Vietnam! The fruits are so cheap! But although I keep waking up with with so many bug bites😂😂
Somehow I always get bit and peter rarely does!
Maybe bedbugs
Nah where did you get flights that costed 449?
We flew from Thailand!
Thailand to Vietnam - £78 per person one way. £130 return.
Listen, I’m trying to visit and spend $75 per day.
May I ask what cruise as I’m going on the Madiline one
It was with Indochina junk!
Plane tickets $2000
"On a budget" my Lord...😂
For two grown adults so maybe the food they ate is larger portion or maybe like there are insurance to consider some kind of travel medical insurance safety insurance of some sort that they have to buy and maybe safety equipment that they didn’t mention
You can be on a budget at any price, a budget is just a guideline for spending. If I make a budget for myself, I'm trying to keep all my spending in a guideline so that I don't go over what I have. They had a price per day they wanted to stay within and succeeded. That's a budget.
We're just used to "budget" being a shorthand for "cheap." It can mean that, but not exclusively.
I have been to Vietnam 7 times and plan my own trips you save a lot of money lol
Have a favorite area in vietnam?
After seeing comments, this lady is caping 😂
Flights from Florida are 1,500
Dang that’s expensive. We flew from Thailand which helped
"Budget Travellers" of $123 per day.
Ok if that girl being overcharged i dont blame heq i know people are struggling but thats not a excuse to overcharge someone. But i do agree that girl overreact and should had just leave
you’re all welcome back to Viet Nam next time my friends
video tuyệt vời
Thank you!
😄
On budget but spending over 120$ in Vietnam sure
Nice vid
Thank you
They still require testing? That might end us coming there
From like April 2022
Was there last week, you don't have to get tested. Just make sure you have a tourist visa.
Who is from Vietnam?
👇🥹
I think these two exaggerated the prices on purpose in the hope that people will write a reaction under their video.
lol nope everything was what we spent
Good morning Vietnam!
Per person or as a couple?
Everything is for the 2 of us combined
@@claireandpeter I spent 3.25 years in Taiwan 🇹🇼 and 3.5 years living in. Suzhou China 🇨🇳 about 2.5 hours from Shanghai but I preferred the 24 minute bullet train. 🚅 I lived in Sweden 🇸🇪 for a year before University and currently I’m in San Jose, Costa Rica 🇨🇷. It’s not as pretty here as the Asian countries. I’ve vacationed to Phuket for a week but not been to Vietnam 🇻🇳. I’m considering Spain 🇪🇸 as prices are dropping exponentially especially planes ✈️ from here. Airplane flights from Portland to Thailand ranged from 800-1400. I planned on Belize 🇧🇿 but two days post booking my Airbnb the price went up 30% as now is considered the high season. So I pivoted to Costa Rica without much research because it’s high season here too. But I found a place for $31 per night and very nice. Most places including hostels range from 40-60 USD. If someone is reading this… plan your stay in San Pedro for the extra money. You’re in a district where expats live, the university will be back in session tomorrow and far nicer buildings. I can see the National Stadium 🏟️ from my apartment and sunsets are beautiful 🤩-better than Thailand and Southern China which is hard to do. I’ve not gone to any of the beaches but I have a feeling they’ll let me down compared to Patong and the James Bond Speed boats and kayaks into caves at stalagtites. Plumbing is far better here. If my business takes off and I make a minimum of $1500 per month I can go damn near anywhere. Honestly it’s hard doing my work in Asia due to not being on North American Time zone. And if my Mom wasn’t in her late 70’s and have a disability I’d probably be there. I still need the time zone but may go to Mexico 🇲🇽 or hell… New Mexico is one of the cheapest US states with good internet 🛜 . Crazy hot days and cold nights. We shall see. If/When my Mother dies I’ll feel more comfortable being 20 hour flight to 30 hours if multiple flights. Nobody wants to not say goodbye to their parents.
Một ngày 2 triệu là quá hợp lí 😅
Dang hella
Money
A budget of $123/day in a third world country...hmm makes a lot of sense!
