Great technique. Kata guruma is one of my favorite throws and butterfly is my favorite position to play. Perfect combo!

Hi Professor-I love your videos! I recently purchased the Butterfly Rediscovered Version 3. Your material is great. I have a question though. I am somewhat tall - 6'3" - and when I get 1/2 butterfly, I am having trouble finding the "sweet spot" of when to sweep. For example, when the person is sitting a little back, and he is smashing me, I am not sure when I know if I am deep enough under his hips to try it. Many times, I try it and I don't have the leverage to lift him or I am too far and it is easy for him to "ride my leg." Do you have a recommendation of a good "trigger"? For example, what should I feel or what should I look for in terms of body positioning? Is there a "spot" where I know I can launch v. where I should know not to sweep? THANK YOU!!

If I did this no gi and they broke my control over their arm, it would leave my back exposed right?
So are there adjustments you can make to hit this no gi or is it just a move for gi?
