Mark you are truly a star and a natural in front of the camera! Things for you will only get bigger and you will be in demand to work all over the world from different television and production companies! The way and relaxed style of your presenting and how you explain and keep it simple for your views is a natural talent and I congratulate you and wish you every success both now and with every opportunity that comes your way in the future.
Wow, you surely get up early over there! But, you are young so you are also likely resilient, too. I love massaman curry, Mark. I love all Thai curries, in fact. Jungle is interesting, though -- quite hot!
I really dislike that people are doing cooking home less and less, depending on frozen dishes, fast food chains, etc.... Nothing like homemade food! It's so wholesome, healthy, delicious, family & friends bonding, it's what makes us human. Thank you Mark! This reminded me of my family back home and brought tears to my eyes. Enjoy those precious moments.
Not only do I enjoy seeing the good food, but I so much enjoy seeing the culture, including "grandma", sitting in a crouched position to cook, the sink outside going to the river, people cutting the chicken's fingernails off (I never really knew they had them-- oy!). It's all the little things that give a mosaic of what seems like such a different world, a good one, but so different than what I know. Yet, "food, folks, and fun" transcends it all. Wonderful video!
i missed my grandma because of this. she used to cook a lot when she was alive. they say mom's cooking is the best, but actually grandma's that's the best
It was delicious watching you fall in love with the place and the people. You have the most amazing experiences wherever you go. I'm sure it's at least in part, because of your humility and childlike wonder, and the sheer joy you take in meeting new friends. You are an inspiration. Thank you for sharing yourself and your travels.
Hmmm...Ayutthaya (the name sounds so similar to the ancient city of Ayodhya in Uttar Pradesh, India). Thailand has so much influence from ancient India...Its like a mini India combined with the Chinese influence. The love for curries, spices and all things sour and super spicy and the biggest being the social structure and religions. Mark's you got the hallmarks of all things an Indian would symbolise with. Your love for the curry 24 x 7....hats off. Even when you wake you you need a curry...wow! Even though there are many things lacking for a good food+ travel show...still your honesty and simplicity are more than enough to make up for all those things. The look on grandma's face.. just brought tears to my eyes, as I couldn't help remember my late grandma. Super sweet video and a big thumbs up 👍🏼
You are so lucky to have these women in your life. So much history in these women's hands. Grandma is amazing. Your Mother In Law not only cooks great food, but she has grace, serenity that you can see in her face, her beautiful face. Thank you again, for sharing your families traditions and life. Amazing.
Yeah finally another upload... my day is not complete without watching at least one of your amazing videos Mark Wiens looove massaman, i often cook that at home..
Mark, your reactions every time you put food in your mouth are priceless!! * puts food in mouth * chews * closes eyes * tilts head to right * smiles * goes 'mmmmm' Keep it up! Hilarious!
Seth Rogan, I guess you had never have any chance to test that great thai food especially, thai homemade cooking with surrounding by real Thai culture . I can see his impression.
I love the personal touch in these videos Mark! It's so great to see the whole family getting involved in food, that's why I love cooking and learning about food, it brings families and communities, and hey even strangers together! I hope these type of videos continue - much love and support from California!
I love it when you have local guest cooks in your videos showing us how to make dishes.I also have great respect for you for the fact that you learned to speak Thai that well.
Hey Guy's, I can't find the superlatives to describe how much I enjoyed this vlog. I just love it! The beautiful scenery, the warmth and hospitality shown by the people, and the way Mark always shows his respect and genuine love of Thai culture. Great stuff! Jim.

Another great video Mark. It occurs to me just how lucky you are to meet such kind people and to have these experiences. I'm sure very few farangs will ever have these types of thai experiences. The food looked delicious but the wonderful people you met is what really shines in this video. Thank you and your wife for all your hard work.
Woohoo Mark! The reason I said that was because you're nearing 100k! So much happiness going through my mind right now. Glad I was there when you first started! Keep up this amazing channel! -from a long time subscriber

Your one lucky guy Mark, beautiful enviornment where grandma lives, as they say grandma taught mom, mom taught daughter cooking and morals and way of life. My best always to you and your family.
I'm half Dutch and half Thai but i've only been to Thailand when i was really young soo it's really nice to see how they live there and what Thailand looks like. Thanks Mark!
My grandmother had a sink like that when I was a child. I remember watching all the chickens pecking at the water for bits a pieces of food dropped through the sink down to the ground. it was so relaxing.

So cool that your doing actual tv shows, I didnt realize that! Love how respectful and genuine you are with the host and her family, your spirit is so sweet and appreciative. Thank you for sharing who you are and what you enjoy doing Mark Weins. know you will never read this, but if you ever did you would find out that one of your avid viewers as watched dozens upon dozens of your videos because she has cancer and watching them has helped her find her ability to eat again. I am currently only 96.6 lbs (normally 130) but Im eating again and its very often while Im watching one of your episodes because something your eating looks so good I go make myself something that has at least some of the same flavor profiles (sweet, salty, sour, spicy, pungent, etc) I even recently found an asian produce store in the city where my Dr appts are and have been there shopping twice! I bought a whole tilapia that I brought home and grilled using asian spices (lemon , cilantro, chilis, salt, white pepper, and ginger) and pan seared prawns again with those spices. It was so delicious, I cant wait to try more!
I love this video....its like the one you had having Thanksgiving in Hawaii...family and food...what a great combination....The green curry is to die for...and your video production has really grown in something special.

Mark, hello from Coral Springs, Florida. I once learned of the deliciousness of Massaman Curry from our local Thai restaurant Thai Garden. The owner Duke recommended the dish to me and told me that his mother who was the cook there cooked the best Massaman Stew. I tried it and It was so delicious. He also gave me some Plum wine on the house to enjoy to it. I sure do miss that place. No one else did a greater Massaman Curry than Duke's Mom.
What a great experience. The family was wonderful and the food really looked delicious. Great job. I really enjoy your experiences bringing these to life for us. Thanks again.
That looked so yummy and you are so right, nothing beats grandma and momma's home cooking! I hope we get to see you explore our amazing food here in Southeastern Louisiana (New Orleans and Baton Rouge).
